Default For those with TT and APS exhaust

Im thinking of changing my Nismo for this system real soon. What do you think of the sound?? are you happy with the noise this makes??

Really appreciate peoples opinions on this.

(Im running a APS TT with APS plenum and decats, JIC Y pipe and Nismo system, currently)

Do it! The sound is nice similar to the Injen exhaust, but not as loud. I used to have the full Nismo exhaust and I do not regret that I move to the APS. The nismo will be better exhaust if you are staying NA. The APS is desing for FI.

I am currently looking at the 2.5" APS exhaust for my build. The above statement just absolutely made me cringe. I HOPE TO GOD it doesn't sound ANYTHING like the injen I have only found a few clips online and it doesn't seem to sound like the injen. If it sounds even remotely close to the injen, it will be off my car faster than you can make rice

definately does not sound rice.. its not very loud, when under load it has a nice sound, but i would say the exhaust is tame compared to other systems out there i have heard.. its not that noticeable of an exhaust system if thats what you are looking for..

I did get this exhaust in the end. Amazing fit and quality, so much better than the Nismo. Flows a hell of alot more as well, my boost has shot up, hence the retune this week. Doesnt sound as aggresive as the Nismo, but its nice all the same.
I do get alot of fireworks out the back of it now, which is always a good thing.

I have finally heard this exhaust in person. Being the big skeptic, and greddy evo2 fan that I am, I was doubtful if I would like it. I took one look at the exhaust and said, "you can't be serious". IMO, it looks more stock than stock - if that's even possible. Yes, the muffler is polished rather than the black muffler the stock setup has, but with a rear skirt or AM bumper, you can't see that. the tips could have at least been slightly larger.

In short, the exhaust looks like stock @ss. If you like the stock look, then you will be happy as a clam. Me, well, I prefer the dual canister look of exhaust like the evo2, HKS, and the upcoming 3" APS exhaust. Needless to say, I wasn't digging the look of the APS 2.5"

As far as the sound, all I can say, it was a pleasent surprise. The exhaust does sound mean. Best way I can describe it is like the sound of the greddy evo2, but with more 'rap' to it.

When i get my car back, I'll get some vids up for all to enjoy.

Isn't there a video on the APS site of the exhaust? I remembering watching a video of the exhaust and thinking it sounded like crap. Too raspy and ricey to me. Sounded like it was rattling everything.

Looks aside, there isn't a video that does the APS 2.5" justice. The sound is very nice. Very controlled, no rasp, no rice.

The vid on APS' sight is inside with the exhaust note bouncing off all the walls. Just not representative of what you get hearing it in person.

Its about as un-ricey as you could get. A very 'grown up' exhaust. Cant see much outperforming it, either.

I completely agree. The video does not sound as it would as your driving the car. I personally think that it has more of an exotic sound to it.

Greddy TT with full APS 2.5" true dual exhaust and sounds great. Low rumble at idle, very, very close to stock sound; opens up quite a bit at WOT but sounds real nice and no rice at ALL!!!

Holy freakin' crap your car is beautiful! Is that lowered at all?

I am one of the guys that actually likes the look of the stock exhaust rather than the look of two farts cans coming out the back of my car. The closer to the stock look/sound...the more I like it.

Thanks Track! It is not yet lowered. I also went with the 30 sidewall in the rear and 35 in the front which creates the "large space in the rear look". I will be lowering it with suspension mods and will be buying 35 sidewalls for the rear. Thanks for the compliments!!!!

Yeah, that think looks awesome. So you have your Defi gauges mounted in the stock location on the dash right? That looks really good.
