Carlos..you are a lucky SOB to break both axles at once. Once that diff heats up, I promise you it wont be 50/50. This is why people smoke their inside tire during tight corners to the right or left. Once that thing gets warm, it turns to mush..and not doing its job.

I'm not spinning either tire on my launches...hell I could have an open diff and still pull the same 60' times. If I'm not spinning either tire then a different diff won't do anything for me. I've already pulled a 1.7 60' out of the 18 inch BFG DRs..and I've yet to see someone else duplicate or better it on the same tires with an aftermarket LSD.

My diff is lucky to be much above ambient when I pull into the staging lanes..since I typically sit an hour or more between runs. Plus I run Redline heavy duty shockproof gear oil which is thick as honey...I've never had a problem with one wheel burnouts..both tires always spin equally for me.

I've been drag racing for a long time...and while LSDs are great for a road racing app...I've yet to see them do anything amazing for 60' times. Full lockers on drag cars are a different story. The stock diff is weak for road racing..but works great for drag racing.

Honestly the only thing holding me back from better 60' times is my axles..which I plan to upgrade this winter.

Brian we all you know you are an experience drag racer...but for most people...I think the LSD's will help them. When the diff locks, you have true 50/50 application, and that is something an open diff or stock LSD will not do...as they never lock.

i must say i was alittle pissed knowing the car had lsd when i bought it, then going out and hammering on it i could get just one tire spinning going out of a turn some of the time. it sucks for predictability. but i havn't had a prob going straight line. the stock lsd must just have a low threshhold. the stock one is just too unpredictable, sometimes it will lock and other times it won't.

It's a viscous type differential...so it doesn't react immediately it has a lag time. That's probably why in a quick turn you spin the inside tire a little bit.
