haven't heard great things about it that justify the price, but it is cool looking.

Do a search, we all have our opions, gather info and decide. If you want my opion buy it for looks, because it does not perform. If you want performance dont waste your money if you dont care about the looks

It performs the best out of all plenum, spacers etc. However, it doesnt perform so much better that it justifies the 850 dollar price tag when you can get 80% of the performance from a 300$ plenum or a 150$ spacer.

yeah you don't get tons of bang for your buck with it. I bought it cause I broke one of the bolt heads off on my lower plenum and didn't want to buy an exact replacement so just sprung for the SSV in the group buy.

It does allow you to use a thermogasket though. I'm also jethot coating mine sometime this or next week. Theory being it'll keep ambient hot air out, the thermogasket will keep the manifold from actually touching the hot engine metal to metal contact, then the air rushing in thru the manifold would immediately blow off any hot air that did by chance make it through (hot air that would have been there anyway had it not been jethot coated.) Also getting a vented hood to cut down on ambient temps.

10 lbs lighter than stock and cool looks, and easy to take off and have access to the fuel rails is nice too.

I'm happy with mine. Allows me to use the stock strut bar which is the best one IMO

i would say it depends...

for NA its more show than performance value... if you are FI it depends on what kit you have and if you can tune your install. If you are using a stock tune I wouldn't get it b/c I have heard people don't see the claimed gains unless it was tuned with it on there... and even then I have heard some rumblings against it.
