Any idea of the approximate ship out date? I think I might have to get me one of these as well... but I have to wait about a month or so, as of now...

 

I called before I ordered it they said it would be shipping around Nov1st..Maybe Jermaine could fill us in more.

 

Don't you already have a UTEC installed....The car being tested?

 

that's a unit for test purposes.....only a few shops have been sent UTEC's to test and tune on so far...no customers units have shipped

 

Curious have you got one of the test units to tune with Adam?

 

I would assume if they are testing it on your car that they would give you the unit for free after the testing is completed. I would not give up my car for testing if they were going to take the unit off after tested and then I would have to buy my own if I wanted one.

huh? my car is sitting in my driveway. TXS tested the unit on their own 350Z, and several shops were sent units to use for their own NA and FI projects before the official release. I believe one car was also sent to TXS for tuning there as well.

 

I wasn't referring to you. I was referring to Thetunerfest. He said he ordered the UTEC, but aren't they testing it on his car? Which is why I assumed they would let him keep it.

 

No they are testing it on MY car..lol

 

The computer and harness are exactly the same.The mounting points will differ but you need to get a little creative with it.but yeah the 350Z one is identicle for the G35.

 

Tentatively early Nov. But Turbo XS is working on some major functionality improvements, in terms of fueling, launch control..etc. Personally, I would rather wait a little longer, becuase the feature set is really expanding rapidily.

 

oh ok. I was putting 2 and 2 together and thought it was thetunerfestnj's car, because he has a thread in the classifieds to sell his APS fuel system and it says to email him at daking350z@msn.com. Since daking350z's car is the one being tested, I figured daking350z = thetunerfestnj.

I am pretty much sold on the UTEC. As much as I hate being first with this kind of stuff, the feature set is very convincing. Now if you guys can just get it done!

 

I am leaning in this direction too, but I am waiting to hear more about that launch control. That really got me thinking...hmmmm

 

Yeah, I got some other plans in mind right now, so the Utec would have to wait, which is not such a bad thing, because by the time I am ready to get it there will be a lot of people that have first hand experience with it and it will have proven itself... and more features will be available....
