Don't worry. This guy has been a big problem. He claims to hate this board so much yet he keeps coming back.

I was thinking the same thing. For a guy that hates this board so much, and tries to poach the sponsors.....he sure does like hanging around.

I don't care. A ban is a ban. It doesn't matter what screenname you are under. Especially if your IP matches.

This is crazy. The UTEC blows away the EU hands down. How can you even compare the two? The UTEC gives you the ability to control the fuel/timing 100% with no interfering from the ECU. That's something the EU simply cannot do.

I have the EU right now and I'm really excited to get my UTEC and a fresh tune

I think SGP pushed the F-con morethan anything and devotes more time towards tunning that..some shops stick with what works for them.it does not mean the UTEC is not a good unit.

Anyways, there must be more to the story in the EU vs. UTEC situation with SGP. There are times when I too, will recommend the EU over the UTEC, usually when a customer doesnt have an experienced UTEC tuner in their area, if they are overseas, or if they want a more user friendly interface for novice self-tuning...particularly in low boost situations.

But given the current choice of EU vs. UTEC, I would recommend a UTEC to about 85% of my customers.

Alright, with that said then, I am said customer (only N/A). What's your recommendation for me? <i.e. no experienced UTEC tuner & want a more user friendly interface for self-tuning...N/A though. UTEC or EU?

Just curious, fromm a noob who can't make up his mind...

Does the EMANAGE have the potential to do the same thing as the UTEC? Is it possibel in the NEAR future that a firmware update allows the EU to tune exactly like the UTEC(independent from the stock maf/maps if I understood anything), and integreate launch control and the extra features? etc..

Sharif am gonna take the risk and go with UTEC :P, man i have no problem if i read for two months then i put my UTEC into my G :P that time i have nothing to worry about, i wanna learn more about tuning, who knows maybe the newbie make it right, i know **** can happen :P but maybe i get used to Fuel/Timing tune easily, no one ever born known everything in life, learning is a must.

You are absolutely correct. And if you have the time, resources, and ability to fix things if they break....then by all means, give it a try. I think you are running an NA platform, which is much more forgiving with respect to tuning.

Anything is possible, but I hate to speculate on this. Greddy is supposedly working on the ability for the EU to set timing values, vs. entering offsets. Knock feedback will arrive, but even then, it will not act on the knock. It will merely display the knock counts in the logger.

For now, on an FI engine, the UTEC's ability to set timing values, set fuel values, and knock feedback/timing correction, put the UTEC ahead of the EU.
