Default Numbers for aps st

i took my car to car version so they could install my jic exhaust. around 2 oclock they called and said that they could only get 350whp and 390ft/lbs. of torque. i asked them to try a manual boost controller and they said call them later. to make a long story short, the car dyno'd at 370whp/395ft/lbs. of torque at 8.5 psi. since they don't tune unichip, i"m gonna stop right there. the boost now is stable throughout the powerband. i was comtemplating upping the boost to 9.5 and getting the unichip retuned. i'm trying to get to the 400 club but i don't wanna blow my motor....yet. the 3" inch exhaust did the trick. just wish aps would have let me know in the first place. numbers with the same setup and the fuji exhaust-320whp/360ft.lbs. of torque.

thanks paranormal,i was hoping for higher numbers, but since it's only 8.5 psi and not tuned yet, i'll take it. i pulls sooooo much harder now that the boost doesn't bleed off. i'm totally satisfied with the st. if i had the loot and did it all over again, i would have gone tt, but this for me is a good enough compromise.

Get it tuned and you'll probably see an easy 400whp...especially with that exhaust. You're definitely running pig rich right now.

It's probably very safe right now. As others have said, get it tuned and you will definitely be at or above the 400whp mark. Congrats, now lets hear some kill stories.

Hey bullitproof did you research any other exhausts? What made you decide on the JIC? I am researching myself to replace my Fuji exhaust but I dont want to get something thats obnoxiously loud and drones all the time. Do you have any soundclips of your JIC?

i went with the advice of my installer. heard a greddy tt g35 with a jic with no resonator and didn't really like it. i got the jic with the resonator. kinda loud when you accelerate, but is pretty docile at idle and cruise. as much as i wanted a stealth system, you couldn't argue with the results. it was a 50whp and 35tq gain. i got an appt at xxtuning and hopefullly upping the boost to 9.5psi and tuning the unichip will get me to 400whp. in a nutshell, the jic is performance loud, not ricey, if you have the resonator. just my opinion.

How do you guys like the look of the single exit exhaust, got any pics of it? Have you guys been looking into methods on closing up the exhaust cutout on the passenger side of the bumper? Also "NOT THE RICEY FARTCAN SOUND" is exactly what I was wanting to know, I will probably end up with this exhaust then.

thats probably the only drawback some think with the single, the extra exhaust hole, what im gonna do is cover the lower valance with black vinyl, hopefully that will kinda mask the other hole.

i'm not sure what i'll do yet, cuz i liked the dual look. maybe get the nismo diffuser so it does'nt look so obvious. right now my car is running great, i'm happy as hell and hopefully i can break the 400whp level with dyno tuning in dec.
