Unhappy Turbo an Automatic?

I was thinking about long-term things with my car. Then a friend said, "I don't think you can turbo and automatic!" Is this true?

You didn’t ask your friend for a reason why? Either he’s just messing with you or he is very ignorant about the workings of an automobile.

The auto tranny in his Neon may not have been able to handle the added power.

ur a pansy. if u are into cars so much that u want to buy a turbo kit, then u should know how to drive a stickshift.
i would be surprised if u havent been made fun of by other car enthusiasts yet.

You my friend, are an *******. You may very well be making fun of someone that has a physical condition not permitting them to drive stick. I for one have poor blood circulation which causes my feet to go numb fairly easily therefore I cannot depress a clutch.

I suggest you stop being so immature if you plan on staying on these forums.

The reason i didnt buy a stick, was for the simple fact my fiance drives the car as well. My last car was a stick, and if i got tired and we're out late. Too bad, i got to drive!

it`s not always about knowing, you ignorant tool. considering the absolute minimal performance difference in the 5AT compared to the 6MT, it is a retarded comment to say it`s stupid to turbo a 5AT Z. A 5AT and 6MT with the same exact turbo set up would be VERY close. It`d be up to the driver at that point.

And the only other person to poke fun at a 5AT are the impressionable naiive kids who haven`t got a clue as to what they`re even talking about. People like you, who don`t even deserve to be called enthusiasts.
