Default Has anyone had a turbo hose fail?

I was driving my car today in 4th gear at 2500rpm and went WOT at 3500rpm the car shot off. I went to start the engine up, it idled fine but would not drive. every time i pressed on the gas it would only go up to about 1500rpm then die down to 300 and then back to idle at 800. Has anyone experienced this problem? i am running 13psi on the aps TT kit with the new actuators, my guess is that it has to do with one of the hoses failing.

You are probably right about the hose failing (a pressure leak somewhere) Before you do anything, check and tighten ALL your clamps. This is probably the problem.

Yup, sounds like a classic case of coupler disconnect.

What does he mean by 'shot off'? What are the exact symptons of coupler disconnect?

I actually broke a clamp in half on the road at 16.5psi. The car ran ok, but it would not make any boost. The hose was still on a little, but no clamp.

I was in 4th gear and just got on the gas at WOT, at 3500 RPM the car turned off. I talked to someone and they thought it might be a computer problem, so I disconnected the battery for a couple hours, and tried starting it again. This time, when I pressed the gas, the RPMs would go up but on the way down, it would drop to 300 RPM and start sputtering. There was also a really weird smell under the hood. I have no idea what the problem is, please help.
