Default bigger pully with ati

i have a procharger im currently running 7lb. i went to AAM , i have their computer which allows me to redline at 7100 rpm's, my fuel starts cutting out around 6800 rpm's..... here my isssue i wanna run 9lbs. of boost which means bigger pully..... now could i just upgrade to a 9 lb. pully and not touch the fuel or would it cut out sooner then 6800rpm. i really dont wanna put 3 g's into my car..... cause thats what it would cost for injectors, fuel pump, reflash, aam fuel return system..... what would happen if i just run 9lbs.? right now i need 7lb. pullies cause they are worn down, i think i would rather buy all new 9lb. pullies..... info, n e one have similar setup...

First of all...if you have your ECU flashed to raise the rev limit ...then the fuel will not be cut till then . Also....I dont know about the ATI ...but usually you put on smaller pulleys to raise boost

If you only have the stock fuel system with the ATI aux fuel pump, you will need more pressure. You are already maxing out the stock injectors.. Tyhe ATI system compensates for this by increasing pressure to a very high level, >100 psi. It sounds like your tune needs to be re-done at the top. The aux fuel pump will pump enough fuel for the 7lb and possibly the 9 lb pullies, but the life of the injectors will be shortened. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? I had my 9lb pullies installed, prior to my fuel system upgrade, so it will work. I had to increase the fuel pressure to over 120 psi at WOT. The stock system is designed to work at 51 psi, so you are more than doubling the pressure in the system. I think something will eventually give.

BTW, with the raised rev limiter and the 9 lb pullies, I now hit 11 psi at 7100 rpm's.

I haven't gotten a final dyno, yet. I just installed some headers, so, I need to do some fine tuning. I want to get it on the dyno soon, though. I plan to take it to the track, too. When I do get the numbers, I will post a thread.

"my fuel starts cutting out around 6800 rpm's.".... not clear what you mean by cutting.. If AAM raised the limiter and tuned it you very likely are safe with your present set up.. If you want more power by going with a smaller pulley then larger injectors and fuel pump with a retune will likely keep you safe.. Safe being demonstrated by the tune and resultant A/F ratio.. A fuel return is a good thing to have but not absolutely critical for safe..AAM had there car initially F.I. with the ATI and so they know the system well...

I would step it up on the injectors 440s and a walbro 255, you might want to check out something like Emanage Ultimate or Utech which is coming out here shortly. With 9psi, enough fuel and a good tune you should see pretty good power coming out of that car.
