Thanks for being patient everyone. I spoke with Jermaine on Monday, and they were writing the instruction/installation manual, and trying to get that piece finalized. It shouldnt be much longer....but probably about 2-3 weeks before the distributors have the UTEC's in their hands.

Sharif,

There are a few online dealers that have it on there website and it doesn't say anything about not in stock. No one should have the UTEC in stock for the 350z right? Thanks.

Wow, you would figure that they would have written the manual a long time ago, Since most of it is a copy over from the other versions. It can't be too different from the WRX model as far as functions and operations.

do you HAVE to use their map sensor? I have a 3 bar map sensor, would it work with the utec if I wire it up or would it be different?

also, would it be possible to remove the MAF all together? i hate mafs

Call them and ask...we are 100% honest with customers on leadtimes...and we dont charge people's CC's until we have product in hand. Not every dealer practices these simple business principles.

There might be a few trial units floating out there..but that's about it...no meaningful quantities.

I have the UTEC installed and tuned in my 350Z. It is awesome!! It has great knock control, allows you to dial in the exact timing and fuel (no more plus and minus everyone is familiar with on the E-Manage, Split Second, Unichip, etc. you are inputing the actual values) in boost. Shoot me a mail MikeM@alteredatmosphere.com if you have any specific questions.

The maf is retained for its incorporated air temperature sensor. The vehicle runs off the TXS map sensor in and out of boost. TXS said they will be offering an air-temp sensor upgrade over the next couple of months so the maf can be totally eliminated!

Hope this helps,
