Turbonetics TAP the 1/8 NTP one...Tap required near the oil filter wasn't in my kit....( it is supposed to be in another blue case right?????I know I should have done a better check before I started...anyway im just wondering if something I but from a store like sears will equate to the kit part....I just dont wanna have to wait till Monday/ Tuesday to finish...thanx
Only one of my taps was in a blue plastic case. The other was rolled up in a small turbonetics ziploc bag in the box with all of the hardware (screws, washers, etc). I thought I was missing it until I dug through all of the hardware and found it.

Im just gonna go out and buy 1 Reggie said it was the same as any store bought tap of that size.....
On another note ....for the BOV and the Wastegate Hardware is only supplied for 2 of the 4 fittings(2 on each 4 total) does that mean that 1 from the wastegate as well the BOV is open to the atmosphere??????

Yes however its not what you are thinking. These other ports are in a completely different chamber of the device so having them open does not affect operation. Any wastegaste or BOV you find on any other kit is the same way. (if its an external a la Greddy). You connect the boost signal line from the plenum to the TOP port on the BOV and the compressor boost signal line from the compressor outlet to the BOTTOM port on the wastegate. In both cases the other port is going to another sealed off chamber and is not used unless you are adding a boost controller or using an alternate config of the BOV.

Wow!!!! I was just looking at your sig. and with the gears and the flywheel(thats the really light one if I am not mistaken 8lbs approx), your first gear will be useless on street tires with a turbo kik.

But I got mine from Reggie.
i'm half way done with my install. i will look at the tap tonight. what i did was use an adaptor. the male end is bspt and the rest of the ports are npt(3 ports) . that way you don't need to retap the hole. i used this so i can mount my greddy oil pressure sensor. i used the tap that came with the kit for the fuel pressure. drilled and tap at the tip of the rail.

Nice of them to include it with the kit. When I did my old Vortech I had to run all over town looking for a tap. Man that sucked! It would have been nice if Vortech would have included it.
