need advice about vortech supercharger
I am considering buying a 2006 350z. Handling is great but power (esp low end) lacking. Considering vortech supercharger. I can find stats on power 287hp to 412, but no stats on what difference it make on performance. what is approx 0-60 or 1/4 mile with stock car and blower? Any comments from current owners of vortech blowers? Would it be a great bad *** car or just a bad idea. Any problems with them ? blowing out drive train... I just like the power but most driving is to work and stores etc.. no racing. However, I was considering a tag that said "VET EATR".

vortech mostly boosts the upper RPM band.
IMO a stock car with vortech probalby isn't super impressive. I mean it'd obviosly be faster than stock. Sounds like you're wanting either a turbo or the stillen supercharger with getting more low end.
In my case, I already have all the major bolt on parts so adding a vortech to my car along with my 3.9 gears and light clutch/flywheel and emanage ultimate etc etc, my car won't actually put down HUGE torque numbers down low, but I don't care because it'll accellerate up into the power so quick anyway no one will care. Besides, I'm used to driving at around 2500-3000 around town because of the clutch so that's right under where boost starts kicking in.

yeah, I think for the vortech to become a really mean setup, you need a lot of other parts and push it up to 420-450whp
or get a ST or TT setup and do 420-450whp on an otherwise stock car, and the tq difference will compensate for the heavy clutch and restictive breathing etc You'll have traction issues though with the ST or TT setups though unless you basically run drag radials or mickey thompson tires
the stillen is cheap to do, but not super upgradable. I'm not a huge fan of it, but for people that want simple supercharger power on the street, it's not too bad. Can get a warrenty with it too. It's for sure probably the safest thing out there as far as safety and warrenty
