Well I started my car tonight...lots "o" smoke as the oils burn off......and loud too cause I have no exhaust yet ....well only on the start up....... hehe...need to get a Y pipe made as soon as the car is drivable.....My gas gauge isnt working so I need to check the Pump assembly...small oil drip from the Oil sensor....and My boost gauge isnt working......those things will be worked out 2morrow cause I aint leaving the house till all my gauges work....plus the car has no wheels or body so these need to be put back on as well.....

I'm sure you can't wait to get it done. GRD called me today and I am dropping my car off tomorrow instead of Thursday. I can't wait. Good Luck with the rest of your install.

Those damn little things are the most annoying. You might try using some Teflon paste on the oil feed line. Should seal everything up good. I used some on my oil temp sensor and fuel pressure sensor fittings. As for the fuel gauge make sure the float is installed properly. On the boost gauge does it power on at all? If so you should have the signal line for it teed off of the line that goes from the plenum to the upper port on the BOV. If it already is make sure it isn't pinched. I have done this before with zip ties...make sure none of the vacuum lines are pinched off.

I have a Kinetix Plenum so since I dont have a location on the Plenum to Tap I called someone at Turbonetics and he said I could Tap anywhere on the Intake side Pre Throttle Body...so its right near the Mass Air sensor....I just need to check for a pinch like u said....I cant even see Vacume....

Ahh I didn't realize that you had the V4 plenum. Yeah anywhere on the intake tract should work...What kind of gauge is it?

Does that boost gauge use a remote mounted MAP sensor for readings or do you have to run a boost signal into the back of the gauge?

With all the snaking make sure you check the whole line all the way into the gauge. If you haven't mounted the gauge in a pod even better. The sharp turn it has to take to get into the back of the gauge in the pod could be another problem in itself.

Well Turns out that putting the Boost and BOV vacume (T-line) pre T-Body isnt right... I wanst getting accurate readings and the BOV wasnt able to see a diffrence in pressure since it was all before the TB...I Tap'd into a Vacume line on the back of the Plenum that I didnt notice at first...now I get about 22 Vacume......I also fixed the fuel pump issue.....one of the lines was tangled with the float assembly.....The oil line needed a little teflon and a couple more cranks...now its all good......

It turns out that the O2 bung's on the Turbonetics Downpipe are too far for the Innovate A/F and Defi EGT to reach so I have to either extend a bunch of wires or just have the shop that will be making my Y pipe weld them in...I so wanted to hear the BOV but aint gonna REV that high till I do some road tests with gauges......I did 4k in neutral on jack stands....a friend could feel the BOV release air but it couldnt be heard.... more to follow....

Does anyone know why you can't hear the BOV's on the ST's and TT's kits for the VQ35 when you rev the car in neutral?

That's what I thought, but in that case why can you hear an SRT4's bov while reving in neutral?

I guess, it's because our car does not build up enough boost in neutral to make the BOV sound as loud as the SRT or few other cars..

Seems to be it, I asked my four banger boosted friends and they said that unless they keep revving hard over and over again it won't sound off. I was worried too at first while in neutral or first gear (though it will blow off but not like in other gears).
