I couldn't agree more. With some mods you will have a better overall performance car with the C6 Z06 than any $300k car on the market. That car IS a supercar.

Granted, my G got more attention at the car show last weekend than most of the late model Corvettes but if it's pure performance ya want I don't see how you CAN'T pick the Chevy. The Z/G's are more refined & the quality ( fit & finish ) seems better so I guess it comes down to what U really prefer.
Remember that I've already had a Lingenfelter 'Vette so I've kinda already been there. Good luck in whatever U decide!!

Thanks for some good information. Tinman I thought she was going to drive the Z, that is the only reason I got a 5AT. Hell now we are on the threshold of divorce. There is a long wait for the 06 Z06. The dealer I just left said they are soldout for 06 and if I ordered one it would be an 07. The wait is better for me since I have time to decide. If I did not have the 5AT I would not even think about trading in the Z. There is just such a better feel driving a stick. I think once you buy any sports car you are going to have the tendency to want more power. I have to do something with my for my 15 yr employment bonus. I thank you all for your honest opinions and it is not easy wanting to make a decision and having to wait a full year.

there have been no motor problems whatsoever just little pissant things thatll get under someones skin and make you want to get into a honda civic /rant

that being said I of course would suggest the Z06, warrenty is your friend, why not have you cake and eat it too? I seriously doubt ill ever mod the vette to the extent of my other cars. I think after you run into mod problems it kinda diverts you away from modding fairly new car, if I seriously get back into it it will definitly be an old muscle car where there is NO computer
