Default Post SEMA price increase on Turbonetics kit

When is the 'official' date for the price increase? I read MIAPLAYA's response in another thread about it being December 1st, I think. When the price does go up, how much is it increasing?

It looks like you can get the kit from sponsors of this site for about 4300 shipped. Are we talking about a 2-300 dollar increase?

If it's anymore than "few hundred" dollars, I am going to have to pull some serious strings to TRY to get this kit purchased before the price increase.

Price increase is effective Dec 1. Price increase should be about $500 IIRC. That main issue I heard is increase in production costs. Again I don't work there and know for sure but thats what I heard through the grapevine...

For an extra $500 you better at least get a flux capacitor with it....

So, is the $4300 shipped (guessing by the price on Mossy and estimating 100 for shipping) pretty much the best deal you can get before the price hike?

What other vendors can I check with?

Just to dispell any rumors. The kit price will be effective Jan 1st 2006. The base kit will be $5,995 MSRP.

If it goes up $700 more then this kit will be around the APS kit. I don't know if i could afford it then. Which would suck, I already started buying supporting mods with the Turbonetics kit in mind.

Isn't the APS kit $5890? And you get the oil pan, a water cooled turbo, (semi)return fuel system, unichip, etc for cheaper? And isn't the JWT TT coming out the beginning of the year for $6500? Damn that sucks. I was so dead set on getting this kit until I read that.

This is bollocks! Now that the price gap between this and TT has been decreased so much I hardly see any point in staying with the TN idea. The kit has been selling like lemonade on hot day, that is most likely the REAL reason in the price hike. Oh well, looks like my hard earned $$ will go down under after all.... APS, here I come!

sorry its the truth.

I know when demand is high, price goes higher but I was pretty sure at least one manufacture would keep the price lower so they could take the competition away from other manufactors. Oh well.

If a couple hundred bucks bothers you...don't buy a turbo kit for your Z. You'll be in for a big suprise as far as other associated costs go.
