heheh...

Yes, the eManage blue or Ultimate can be used to tune the Vortech cars, or any car, for that matter. The items needed vary based on the particular setup.

At a minimum, with the vortech kit, you will need the following:

eManage box
Harness
Pressure Sensor
Pressure Sensor Harness
Larger injectors 440cc
Return fuel system, and the removal of the Vortech FMU equipment
Walbro 255

What are/is the advantage(s) of the E-Mamage over the S.S. besides having access to a tuner??

Fuel enrichment by increasing injector pulse width directly, rather than MAF offset. When coupled with the return fuel system, you dont have to run an AUX pump and 100psi+ worth of fuel pressure.

It's a more "textbook" approach to FI tuning.

Sorry but I don't appreciate the disadvantages of the MAF offset..Relative to fuel pressure, I have the 440 injectors and walbro and my fuel pressure stays well below 100+psi (after dyno tuning)...

With larger injectors, and a single 255 Fuel pump, your fuel pressure is going to be lower than using the stock Injectors, and the Vortech booster pump...so I dont disagree there. The stock fuel system setup on the Vortech runs 100-120psi of fuel pressure near redline.

MAF offset results in timing changes. Less MAF voltage results in higher ignition timing, and without a method of knowing exactly what the timing is at a given point, you are guessing with the timing retard adjustment. The UTEC and the eManage Ultimate provide more accurate and consistent timing and fuel control.

Unless you were to go EU or the Utec . It would be easier to learn the R4 software to tune the SS box . Than it would be to change out the SS box for the old Emanage . The R4 is very easy to learn and any tuner should be able to pick it up very fast . www.splitsec.com has instructions on how to use it .
