Default Complete Engine Rebuild

Just wondering, and not trying to be noisey, but I am in the process of rebuilding my Vq35 with a tt setup and wanted to know how much I will be kicking out. The setup includes:

resleeve and bore block
rebuild head w/ camshafts, valve springs
port polish
3" exhaust setup (pipes)
pistons & corrillo h-rods
Head studs
TT setup (not sure whcih company yet)
fuel management system (computer, fuel pump, regulator etc)

The setup will hold 50+ pounds of boost. I just want to make sure I'm getting the correct quotes and not being ripped off. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You are talking about somewhere between $20K-$25K. Also don't forget a new clutch, and gauges/wideband....add another $3500.

I doubt that motor can handle that, but I could be wrong.

I didn't say I would be running 50psi. The engine build would be able to handle that much power if I decided to put it on the track.

that and you would have to get some serious turbo's to pull that off..i doubt any of the out of the box turbo's are capable of that..

At that time when they told me, I was concerned, but they said the setup would be very close to that of the race car. The difference is they are using a much bigger turbo and race gas.

So essentially, you are looking for a fully bulletproof setup....a ground up rebuild of the entire car. EVERYTHING must be replaced, strengthened or modified. The engine is just one part of the package.

You are looking at 30K-50K in mods and labor.

I spoke to one shop (Acostamotorsports) in Wallington NJ. But I'm just trying to find out if the price they gave me, which sounds about right, is legit.

50 PSI on what turbo? A Y2K? The only cars that run that high are drag cars. Your talking a T88 range of power. For that plan on the following:

Darton Sleeves: $1500
Arais Xtreme Duty Pistons: $ 1050
Pauter rods: $1170
ARP head and main studs: $380
Machine work: $2000 AT LEAST
ATS Triple disc carbon clutch: $2650
Level 5 Axels: $1549
Full Fuel Return: $1100 (and your going to need two pumps at least)
Minimum 1000 cc injectors: $1000
Standalone Engine Managment system: $2400
Thats just the motor and drivetrain. Factor in about $1000 for a decent exhaust, labor is going to kill you for another couple thousand at least, suspension, brakes, gauges.
