Default Turbonetics diameter?

Been looking for a new exhaust to replace my HKS (doesn't work with TN kit)...

Was talking to Apexi, HKS and some other companies about diameter etc. Most of the exhaust out on the market are not true 3".. They are 2.75 (since the stock ypipe/cat is 2.75 and you need a matching flange) They gradually get bigger from 275 to a 3"+ etc.

Does anyone know if the piping for the Turbonetics kit is a true 3" or is it a 2.75? If it is a 2.75, then it wouldn't really be possible to install a true 3" correct? Because you will always have that bottle neck.

MIAPLAYA? Would love to know your take on this.

I need to get a new exhaust asap

The Turbonetics downpipe is a true 3" diameter (ID). I am running the Apexi WS2 exhaust and it has worked great for me. Sounds good, looks good, and performs well. (FYI my Apexi WS2 starts at 2.75" and widens to 3" after the resonator)

What I'm trying to get at is that there are no true 3" exhausts since all of them were made to mate with the 2.75 flange? Correct?

JIC Magic is coming out with a dual pipe 80mm dual tip 115mm in size. This will connect to the flange of the Turbonetics pipe. They have two different metal types titanium and stainless. The single is already availible. The dual is due to be released in Jan. I recommend Titanium. There is no substitution for the sound when the exhaust resonates through the pipe.

The Top Speed Pro-1 is a true 3" exhaust, full stainless, dual muffler exhaust, and it's only 479.00 on eBay.

My JIC single 3" full Titanium exhaust will be here tomorrow-you could always get one of those, many different pipe/canister material choices, and you can get all with or without resonator.

Incorrect. I know the exhaust MIA has the Apexi tapers from 2.75" to 3", just like the Apexi single does the same. JIC, Top Speed, and others all have TRUE 3" throughout. IIRC, the Tanabe single also does the 2.75" to 3" gradual increase....and last I heard the JIC coming out with dual 3" was a rumor, with no official confirmation of a release date.

my Fujitsubo exhaust is 76mm piping (2.99") because it is designed to mate with a Fujitsubo Y-pipe (which has a 76mm outlet)
