Hey, i am new to the whole forced induction thing. I am thinking about getting a turbo or maybe a supercharger in the next year or two and need some help deciding which way I should go. My Z is also my daily driver and it is an 06, the car also needs to be Reliable (Not in the shop all the time). Any info is welcome, thanks
This is a dumb topic. Do a search, in fact do plenty of searching. Read up in the NA and this FI forum, then come to a conclusion based on what you've found. No need to have 1 more of these posts....
I'll try to be a little helpful here.
In my opinion the two main things to consider are: 1.) how much power do you want? and 2.) Even though it is your daily driver (nothing wrong with that), do you have a backup car that you can use in case something happens to the Z and it needs to be in the shop for a few days. You always have to expect that something might go wrong, and that you will then need to use ur backup car until the Z is fixed.
My Z used to be my daily driver, but not anymore. It has nothing to do with the fact that I have a TT (it used to be a daily driver with the TT), but its just that anytime I go somewhere during the week there's so much traffic. So I just drive the Z over the weekend when there's not so much traffic and I can push the car to its limits then.
Its all up to you in the end. Everybody has their own opinions and so the debate of a daily driver FI Z could go on forever.

You will get more out of reading through the various threads.

you can get to 350hp (crank hp, not whp)
with any route, NA, SC, ST, or TT - and/or nitrous too
some ways are more risky than others
other ways are more expensive
other ways are more reliable

the stillen is upgradable and has an engine warrenty - ugly hood though
the HKS does what it does and that's it. It can't be upgraded - unless someone wants to venture to try.
most NA mods can be used with any SC or ST down the road, will lighten up the car for better handling and make it sound meaner. If you pick your parts right, you won't have anything you'll have to sell off to put a SC or single turbo on later on
most FI solutions will add weight in the neighborhood of 80+ lbs to the front of the car. TT kits add more like 100-120ish lbs. NA mods can easily take away 80-100 lbs
A NA Z with 350 crank hp will generally be more reliable and faster than a 350 crank hp FI Z due to weighing less and will have better handling on top of it. There's usually less maintenence than FI kits too. Downside is it is more expensive - around $8-10k+ or so depending on just how far you take it
The SC and ST kits are around $3500-4500 and about $1k for labor
you can do FI and "NA" mod together too for more money to balance out the weight that FI adds and get even more power
