Hey guys im ordering my ST soon and i have 2 questions to all you t-netics owner about the BOV. did you guys keep the raptor BOV that came with the kit or replaced if with another one??? how does the raptor sound? im thinking bout gettin the HKS SS....thanks guys

 

I love the Raptor BOV. And most of the Turbonetics owners do to. I would say install it see how you like it and if you want something else at that time then buy it. Its free to use what comes with the kit.

I think Intense Motorsports uses a Greddy Type RS

 

You will LOVE the raptor. It blows off MEAN! .

projectsherv has the Greddy Type-S if I recall correctly.

Raptor is a great sounding BOV !!! My friends commented on the sound after riding next to me around town. He said it sounded awesome. I agree from what I can hear inside the car. I wouldn't change it.

I agree with you. I don't know why everybody loves it so much. When I heard it I thought it sounded like somebody shot a bird or like u said, a whistle. I hate it.

 

HKS IS TERRIBLE i have raptor on mine upclose and drivebys in the Turbo forums on vid

 

i too hate the HKS it is just to high pitch and short i like the way tail sounds greddy type s is a classic. the BOV provided with the kit sounds a bit like the greddy to me though. just keep it and spend your money one something else.

 

I <3 the Raptor sound. Kinda like a "QWOOOOSH".

It sounds even better with a vented hood.

+10001. The horn sits directly in the vent on my VT hood....couldn't ask for any better than that.

 

anybody got any pics of the raptor BOV? i mean REAL upclose, where i can count how many threads are sticking out after the nut, i think i need to adjust mine...

Yeah thats definietely off.

 

yep, back that sucker out a few turns. Also, if you're having problems with compressor surge or fluttering, make sure you teflon tape the brass fitting where it goes into the BOV housing. That made a HUGE difference on mine.

 

alright guys, sounds like theres not alot of HKS fans out here...lol, imma try out the raptor...
