I think some cops will know the difference between a Turbo kit and SC kit. I wonder what the penalty is if you get cought using that decal illegally or lying to the inspector. For turbo kits, the JWT decal might work, if approved for eo#.

The single turbo guys can get away with the Vortech. For us APS guys we can either use the JWT or better Im just gonna use one from a pop charger. The word "Turbo" or "Supercharger" just might give them more initiative to search. And being how stealth the APS TT is installed I think the "Pop Charger or Cold air intake will work for my situation.

Or you can use my back up plan, I was gonna get a stock air box and Gut it out and put it on top of my intake tube to make it look like i exchanged my intake tube for a "chrome" better looking one. And it would be hard to tell unless your good at it. That way the blow off valve is covered.

is it that different out there? My car is so illegal it not funny. You can smell it at idle, screw a sniffer. In dallas ive just gone to the asian shops for my car's. Maybe me being asian, but i doubt it. I just get booth of my cars inspected at once, one is a DD. I would go to chinatown with my friend in the DD. Tell them i need to do 2 cars, and show them my Z. All my cars that i race have been illegal and street driven. Usually i pay about 100.00 extra, but i havent had one turn me down yet. I can just spot the crooked inspection shops out. I look for the "mom and pop" shops, that also sell rim's and a little performance (like welding mufflers).

That would suck to get pulled by a cop and made to do those BS tests. Ive had a few cop's see my intercooler and just start talking to me about my car, theyll either own a Z or WRX/EVO. I just tell them whats done. Cops are pretty cool out here if your cool with them, now if your doing a burn out and donuts in a parking lot thats another thing....

Usually if you respect them and they know what they are talking about then you can spill some of your beans. Just dont be a dick right off the back and act professional about the ordeal

If someone makes those vortech supercharger plaque's I'll buy one. Maybe you can even change the word to Vortech Turbocharger...I was thinking of using my INJEN CAI plaque.

So wrong but I honestly don't care about our emissions. The world isn't coming to a screaching halt because I have a TT setup. It would pass emissions just not visual anyways. I really think I should have the right to spend 10k on my car and not have to worry about it being legal or not. Has anyone realized how EXPENSIVE it is just to make our cars somewhat fast? getting off topic but ya hopefully someone makes those plaque's. I'll pay for one.
You can tell the cop "i dunno I bought it like this...." heh

as far as the APS TT being stealth.. i dont think you can hide the piping..

i think i recall someone telling me a story once on how he got pulled over and said he was using a twin airfilter intake .. HA HA ..

imho.. turn the boost down. run your cats, and print out the JWT car sticker and hide all your APS, Greddy, or Power labeled silicone hoses. hahaha.

CA.... what a F@cked Up State !!!!!

Move to FL.... you can put a jet engine with afterburner in if that makes you happy.

Oh yeah we can carry guns too !!!! As many as you can fit in your holsters, pockets etc.

Respect

I just want to point out as tempting as it is to forge a Carb sticker but if you get caught it would be a federal crime since you are forging a goverment issued document...so the choice here is removing a turbo or doing hard time....

I'm keeping my car as sleeper as possible until APS actually has a true CARB EO, it's also fun at the track because everyone always thinks I'm slow until I whip their booties

Even with the piping most cops don't notice. You just tell them its for asthetic puposes. I polished my tubes from my radiator to the motor to make it look "chiney".

My friend just moved to Florida from Cali, he's going back to cali cali...

Your insurance is higher for no reason, they let you carry guns because it don't matter when the hurricanes come, you can't shoot a hurricane *(bad example i know just humor)

cali does suck in a lot of ways.
