As soon as the television industry expands out of New York City and Los Angeles into Flordia I'm moving there!

How do you print on medal?

I've got the PhotoShop skills ... just can't figure out how to print on foil stickers - Kinko's possibly?

I will buy the upgraded parts once the CARB'd APS comes out...will I get it installed? That all depends on how much power I have to give up...

Most Tk will pass when the cats are hot, but on cold start they fail NOX, so TN will not pass emissions if you go to get it tested.

When the time comes for smog checking my APS TT roadster I'm (or at least the car) is moving to a county in Nevada that doesn't require smog testing.

So uh, who's gonna make these things? The medal is a sort of plastic/sheet metal type of material. I'm sure if someone had the font it could be done easily. You might have to take it somewhere to get done though. Someone's gotta know how to do it.

There are a couple of ways I know of to print on actual metal (I worked at a trophy shop and we printed metal signs and placards pretty often). First off, you should run your finger over the lettering. If the print feels "raised" (you can feel the individual letters) then it was silkscreened. Unfortunately, I don't really have much experience with screening, but all it really involves is a screen of what you want to print, the material, the paint, and a squeegie (sp?). If it isn't raised (which is doubtful) then you can just sublimate it. I'm guessing it's some sort of aluminum, but you can print on pretty much any metal with sublimation (we can also sublimate stickers, but I don't remember ever doing a foil sticker). All I would need is a high quality scan of the placard and the dimensions(the less shine from the scan light, the better the finish and it is easy to round off corners). One problem is that with sublimation the quality sometimes isn't the best. Another problem is that I'm in SLOCal and I don't really have access to a heat press. If I were back at my job in MD, then I'd definitely do it for you (but I wouldn't accept responsibility for any legal stuff). Then again . . . if it is a foil sticker I would think an ink jet would do the trick.

i was born and raised in southern cali, went to chiropractic school out there, then ended up in albuquerque, NM..who knew?!?!?!?

but at this point, i'm content in this much smaller city (about 800,000)... i remember the **** state of california... and i like my toys too much to go back... we can carry loaded weapons in our vehicle, because it is an extension of our home, makes people think twice before they attempt to car jack you!

i understand the theory behind why CARB is a good thing...but they don't give a **** about the quality of the air, CARB is a money making machine
...the polution isnt from automobiles (they want u to believ that), it is from big industry...the statistics we learned in environmental science classes were stunning

So true.

The Navy and BIG shipping industry in San Diego, LA, and SF pollute hundreds of times more than cars do everyday. Not my opinion, it is fact. The ports in LA and San Pedro are the worse violators and the penalties are minimal compared to the millions in their load. Like $1000 per violation. Its all about the state and fed government's lobby.

CARB is about $$$ not clean Air. Just don't race your car on the street and Not having an extremely loud exhaust helps as well from attracting too much attention.

Warmly,

M

It may not seem like it, but I can assure you they are. Unfortunately I can not give you guys any details, but I can promise you that APS is still working on this. They are currently closed, but will be opened on the 16th. You could always send them an e-mail asking what sort of information or status they can give you on the progress...

the honda crew can make it for you guys...printed on thin aluminum stickers.. just need a template from the vortech SC. Of course it's to replace the vortech sticker you lost

Hey Everyone,
I have had a lot of recent requests for custom stickers or ones that I do not stock. I'm also out of stock or will be on a couple popular stickers.

I'm trying to evaluate the interest for a "custom sticker order" in which you would specify the following:

Description Field ex. (Acura Integra LS/RS Turbo Kit)
PART# Field ex. (11550032)
CARB E.O.# Field ex. (397-7)

Because each sticker would be unique (text wise only), and the order would be of lower quantity, pricing would probably be around $25 each.

This means you can get the greddy sticker for accords, mitsu's, mazda's, toyota's, etc! You come up with the information, i'll have it made.

A simple reply to this post will show me your interest. Ordering will be different for these in that the orders will be prepaid due to the custom nature.

his e-mail is stizbobert@yahoo.com

Greddy has their kit being tested. My car is the one they are using to test the stock kit. It's actually going back to them this week so they can go back to trying to get those cats hot quicker!
