There have been some recent discussions about cold weather related boost spikes....some possibly related to winter blend fuels. I noticed this myself before putting my car away.

Is this tied to weather changes?

The solutions that have come out ties to weather/wintr fuels seem to be:
-a winter tune
-mixing race gas in your fuel mix.

Note that there have peen some hardware related issues included in the discussion....search on recent "boost spike" threads.

Can anyone add details to this...........

Not a spike - linear progression and AFR pig rich (low 10s). But is 8.8. consistent with stock pulley

Please Bill (booger) should I be concerned

Considering what boost people are getting on APS ST cars, with wastegate issues, I wouldnt worry too much. My car spiked at 13 psi when I changed my exhaust, before I had it retuned.

If your still rich as you stated . There is still plenty of timing being pulled . I wouldnt worry. What octane of gas do you get there ?

Its RON rating which I think is an average of MON and PON but its 99 RON which is equivalent to your 95 about.

So its a good spec and good anti-det rating.

Plenty of black on the tips of the exhaust, so it sure is rich. Almost always have the laptop hooked to the Zeit and check after a run - just not this one time. Feels plenty quick tho
