Default Vortech/Zeitronix Issue?

I was running pretty much rich with the stock G bumper (according to the zeitronix). I got the TS1 bumper installed and now my a/f sits around 14.7 no matter what I do.

I start to get on the gas and it jumps to 15.1 or so. I still feel like I'm making power, but the a/f has me staying out of the boost until I can figure this out.

I even loaded the stock vortech map to try and richen it up, but the a/f stayed the same.

I'm thinking:

Did the body shop do something to my a/f sensor wire?

Is my FMU working? (I checked fuse and it's ok)

Any suggestions - Thanks!

O2 sesnors can be damaged when the are exposed to certain chemicals such as some PermATex "form-a-gaskets". I don't know how this may apply to the painting process but, I'm throwing it out there...

Dumb idea of the day... Why don't you put your stock bumper back on, go out for a quick spin and see what happens?

I was originally thinking that the cooler intake charge was leaning it out, but it (a/f) should have dropped some before I went into boost. The numbers just seem to bounce right around the 14.7.

I'm thinking that the shop may have bumped it. Or it could be coincidence that it croaked while in the shop.

I hope that it is the sensor, even though it only lasted a little over a year I think that would be the easiest fix.

I will try and schedule an appointment with CP after the 1st.

It seems like everybody wants to race when your cripple.

Thanks Guys!

My guess is when you put the new bumper on , you pulled off one of the vacuum hoses . Check all of them , but most of all , check the hose going to the SS box . If the box doesnt see any boost, its not going to add fuel . The bumper its self isnt going to make so much of a difference [ more air to IC ]to lean it out that much
