Default Turbonetics + Turbo XS UTEC Results

I had my car tuned by Altered Atmosphere after they installed the Turbo XS UTEC.

It made 385 RWHP/381 FT-LBS @ 7PSI uncorrected. I'm real happy with those numbers. This was on a Dynojet.

The Top Speed PRO-1 exhaust flows so well we were able to get these numbers by dropping the stock TN boost from 8lbs - 7lbs since we built this power with increased flow by bolting on the free flowing exhaust.

The injectors were operating at approx 97% of maximum duty cycle.

A/F ratio is about 11.0-11.7 through the pull.

Very nice numbers! Did u drive up all the way to AAM just to get it tuned? Looks like it was worth it.

Btw, how do u like the UTEC? Does it seem like its easy to tune it?

Yeah, though can someone explain a little on the "uncorrected" part?

I do believe the differance between corrected and un-corrected is that corrected calculates in the S.A.E. numbers.

Congratulations. What were your numbers before the tune? What features did you find interesting?

was the tuning done on the dynojet? If so, watch your AFR and boost once on the street.

How did you drop boost? I thought spring pressure was 8 psi?

Nice Numbers, bt I would upgrade those injectors ASAP..97% duty Cycle is way high..The industry standard is 80%

I don't understand why the injectors were maxed out at only 385 RWHP. There is a guy that maxed them out at 450RWHP. I guess I will have to buy some 550's then. I want to be in the low 400's

wOW 98% Duty cycle???? I had my maxed at 450... you sure it was 98%.. turbonetics runs 388rwhp with a average duty cycle... that doesnt sound right they are 380cc inj and max out well over 400... thats how injectors work?

General rule of thumb when "estimating" the size of injector needed on a 6 cylinder motor, it will be the CC= the aproximate HP you can get..Ex 380cc=380hp 440cc=440hp 550=550hp ect...

It comes down to the max they can flow at a given DC. You can have them tested to find out. I think the 380's from the TN kit are good for close to 400 rwhp.

I recently bought some 440's. I toyed with going to 550's too but you really don't want too large an injector either as you won't get the best tune that way.

I am looking for around 400rwhp (a little more would be cool too). I suspect your dyno was reading a little high too. I think 440's will be fine but I like that TN may use 510's with the proposed stage 1.5 kit.

BTW, Deatchworks can provide almost any size injector and they are drop ins so there is no harness wiring to do. So if you want 510's or 480's or something like that, they are an option.

Varying duty cycles on the injectors could due be lack of a return style fuel system. Aslo, not every 380cc injector will flow at 380. Some will be more or less, also contribituting to varying duty cycles at a given HP
