Good to see it's consistent. I lost about 1.5psi when I switched from cats to resonated test pipes. But I did gain more power.

Bruce
You're post got wiped out, but I'm still scratching my head in wonderment! Mr. Drag Racer is talking about seeing how his car runs on 11 or 12 pounds of boost? Did I miss something? I figured you'd be sleeving the block, stroking it, and jacking the boost to 20+
C'mon, you know darn well you want to edge Sharif in the horsepower competition.....:-)

dimebagdolf-
There's going to be "a disturbance in the force" when I get my car back. I'm planning on hitting the afterburners and creating a time-warp between San Jose and Portland...... Maybe I'll hang around long enough to see some more of the cool Zs & Gs you NorCal guys have!

I'm probably going to sell the LaBree resonated test-pipes and the Stillen dual.
It's been great up to this point but I'm itching to see how much power I can make with the big diameter APS system. What's a fair price? The Labree pipes cost $395 with a wideband bung from the manufacturer and the Stillen dual-wall tipped cat-back exhaust system is on sale for $1,150. Please PM me or email me if you know anybody who's interested.

i know adding an exhaust for turbo will make it quieter but will it do the same for superchargers?

Supercharged cars get loud when you start adding exhaust components. Headers, test-pipes, exhaust, they each increase the db level.

Drats, I have noticed that I have been getting some rasp once I installed the headers, HF cat, plenem and y pipe. Will replacing the aftermarket y pipe back to the stock one reduce the rasp or make it worst? Or, is the rasp caused by too much back pressure going into the stock mid pipe and exhaust that by upgrading the exhaust should decrease the rasp.

The more you open up the exhaust the more raspier and louder it gets .It's just some thing you will have to put up with for more power

I ordered the APS 3.5" test-pipes and 3" exhaust, so I'm definitely selling my LaBree resonated test-pipes and Stillen dual exhaust.

You can ask any of the mass of people that have apparently ridden in my car about the sound. It's only a little louder than stock, and the system hasn't caused backpressure issues up to 500hp. The LaBree pipes don't have any rasp or buzz. $295+shipping on the pipes, $700+shipping on the dual exhaust. Both are in San Jose, and are stainless steel. The Stillen has the dual-wall tips. They'd been on the car for about 2,800 miles when it arrived in California, so they probably have about 4,000 miles on them;-)

Trying to get some more info from the supercharged guys with 3" exhaust setups....

-What power gains/losses have you seen with a big 3" dual exhaust?
-Any raspiness?
-Loudness?
-PSI changes?

Thanks.

we are going to start shipping our 2.5" system in the next 2-3 weeks. it should be an awesome combo for supercharged guys. it is identical to our 3" dual system, only smaller.

Dont think any one has tried a 3 inch dual exhaust with a SC . No one has the need for it . A 2 1/4 dual is good to 500whp so most have gone with the Stillen .
I have the Stillen ,along with headers and I have run RT cats , resonated pipes , Crawford cats , and now just test pipes . The Crawford cats , along with OEM cats will restrict flow and build more boost [ about 1.5psi ] more . But will hurt the whp . I had LaBree resonated pipes , there was some rasp , but not as much as straight pipes , Same with the RT cats , but a little more rasp . Im running test pipes now...not to loud till I get on it , then it screams very loud . I would think going to a 3 inch open exhaust to flow enough to support the WHP you are looking for , will be very loud
