thats a different motor that responds a little better to boost, inlines always do better than Vs. dont get me wrong it will be a monster, but a supra it wont be.

No that motor has a full extra liter of displacement over a Supra...it should spool up a little quicker then the Supra would and make similar numbers. ALthough it will have Supra like traction. I'd love to see a Thumper turbo on that car. T91...mmmmm http://www.turboneticsinc.com/turbo_thumper.htm

I have the Turbonetics kit and I love it. 15k miles of hard driven and boosted miles without any issues. 8 PSI 371 RWHP/359 ft/lb of tq on a Dynapack.
Im not starting no war thread, If I wanted one I would give you one.
Well MIAPLAYA what BOV are you running is it the raptor?

I'd wait and see. 4.3 L sleeved, with a big enough turbo...it will happen. Several Supra guys run Y2ks and Thumpers I'd like to see one of those one here too...

an HKS T51R SPL would do great on that motor, would definitely spool quicker. and still be capable of 1000whp.

sorry, didnt mean the greddy T51.

ahh gotcha...never seen the specs on that turbo..

Edit: Just checked it out...similar to a T76 (76 mm inducer) would probably spool fast and make power. But I would take a Y2k T88 over that...

I think its going to make 1k RWHP. Its true that for some reason inline's make more power and are louder the v's but remember you talking about a car that has space for big turbo's (supra) and a car that barely has no space for turbo (Z).

We are seeing 550 to 650 RWHP ate around the 12.5 area to 17 PSI area on our TT's.

Even to say that the supras would always end up with i little more hp we still rip the off the hole when in the world would a supra break the 10 sec mark with about 45 to 500 rwhp ive never seeing it. The best ive seen is like 700 rwhp and at the 10 second.

So our cars with that 4.3L stroker kit would most likely end up at the 1k rwhp With either an APS TT or Greddy TT at around 25 to 30 PSI.

Hey correct me if im wrong guys.

Actually with a custom rad support like that car you can put an even bigger turbo in there. It all depends on how crazy you want to get. I'm 100% sure a Y2k T88 or even a T91 Thumper would fit if you were given enough fab time... Keep in mind the reason a lot of Supras run a HUGE single turbo is not because of room but because Twin turbos can't keep up enough flow on the top end to make those kind of numbers. Thats why both Supras and Skylines switch to a BIG single for BIG numbers...

I would'nt necessarily go as far as saying inlines respond better to boost than a V. They are however near perfect in balance compared to any other engine config. out there. Boost response is dependant on a lot more factors than whether the motor is an inline or a V. Example would be GNTTypes>>> V-6's with great boost response and capable of laying down some serious numbers.

What I would be interested in knowing is how far you can push this size turbo on VQ before you start surging. Granted IP is running a stroked motor but damn, positive boost with that kinda flow @ 2400 rpm means this sucker is spoolin' up quick.
