the T51R is practically the same as the T88, its just shy of the T88H and just above the standard T88.

Not according to the size of the inducer its not...HKS webpage lists the T51R as a 76mm inducer with 1000 ps capability. The Y2K T88 is an 88mm inducer capable of 1500.

Edit: From HKS webpage

LOL yeah I'm not sure what the Greddy stuff is...they seem to switch between Mitsubishi and Garrett nomenclatures like its cool. HKS just has their own crazy naming system. Yeah that T108 is a monster...You should have seen the drag BOAT that was at the Turbonetics open house. Full billet aluminum block and heads 5XX cu inch Hemi with TWIN T112 Thumper turbos... 4000 HP...

Keep in mind the reason a lot of Supras run a HUGE single turbo is not because of room but because Twin turbos can't keep up enough flow on the top end to make those kind of numbers. Thats why both Supras and Skylines switch to a BIG single for BIG numbers...
Well fitting those big turbo's is going be a pronlem now one thing how come no body has made a tt kit but with the turbo's up were the turbonetics sit on each side that would be something.

Oh thats been discussed trust me Tim has managed to fit twin 60-1 HiFis in his SFR kit. The Turbonetics kit uses a single 60-1 full size. SFR TT kit is capable of 1000 hp EASILY.... Of course when Turbonetics drops Stage II (T66) it will change things a little

Few quick answers to why we went with what did. Of course AEBS told me the motor would hold 1600rwhp and 60psi. The reason we went with the GT4202 is that is what Garrett asked us to run. If I get bored with the turbo, we will put something smaller or larger depending on the mood. I don't think we will go smaller as the first 3 gears are a waste as it just blows the tires off. Haven't tried 4-6th yet. We can fit a little bit larger turbo, don't think a GT47 would fit but that doesn't mean I won't try. We take a lot of information from what we have developed from the Supra market as that was our primary market 10 years ago.

This is one of our other shop cars. The old setup was running the Precision 76 and have decided to change things around again.

This is the turbo we will be running on the Supra (GT47-80). Sorry for the head chop, it was slow one day.

If you have any questions please let me know.

-Greg

well inline designs don't automatically make more power than a V design. they are stronger though by design. inlines will have a main cap inbetween every rod with V's having 2 rods between main caps on the crank shaft. inlines typically have more strength to the block also, just inherant to their design. i have heard inlines will make more torque compared to a V, but have yet to see the logic in it. as long as both motors being compared had the same bore/ stroke length.

mia- how did you have the cam mounted in your video, lol. it is shooting from your chin, hahhaa. must have been funny to see.

put down 363 whp and 396 lb/ft at about 4300 and lost power after that because my J&S Safegaurd is pulling too much timing. It is a monster though. The piping may be for sale soon, so PM me if you are interested.
