Default zUTEC and boost up at AAM

I have the PE TT kit. I drove the 10 hours from Kentucky to Maryland to have AAM install the zUTEC, Turner REG, Remote Map Switch, Hipro Dual Stage Boost Controller with remote switch, and Knocklight. Dropped the car off at 9 am, hotel action to recover, Mike had it on the dyno all day yesterday, and rolled out of Maryland @ about 730 last night, got back to Kentucky this morning. Too tired to do any type of review, except the car perfomed flawlessly on the ride back in all types of temps and conditions, fog, snow, rain, mid forties to lower thirties, stopped once for an hour or so at Dennys for steak and eggs, otherwise only gas stops, about 600 miles or so. Very happy with it so far, and the excellent tune that Mike did. Of course, this is no good without pictures, so some lame pictures I managed to snap are presented here. zUTEC rocks!

did you sue the TurboXS boost controller (solenoid) controlled by the UTEC and if so did you enable the no-lift-to-shift and launch control features?

Wow, that's a damn far drive. Isn't there a local tuner to take care of your needs in case something happens?

I donot think those features have been enabled yet in the UTEC..i can not wait to do the launch control, thats our next project, so we can snap some more AXLES!!! Also it would be nice to map boost via the UTEC also, Im going to try the boost control selenoid that came with the APS kit and see if we can get that to work..

Really? I thought the boost features were all in the UTEC release.
I am trying to decide whether to install the Blitz SBC I have or just use a solenoid with the UTEC. SO if it doesn't work I guess I'll just go with the Blitz.

Boost control mapping is functional on the UTEC, but launch control and no-lift-shift are not. Should be coming in future software revisions.

So other than those features (that are not in yet) is there any benefit to using boost control via the UTEC vs. the Blitz?

The boost control map is there correct, however TX has not released a selenoid to work with it..When they do it will work similar to the WRX Utecs where the utec completely controls boost.I am sure the APS selenoid would work with the UTEC, it would be just a matter of mapping it so you would not need an additional boost controller..

For starters you wont have to buy the blits boost controller
Secondly you could map boost via the utec and switch maps on the fly as well as boost settings

I already have a Blitz SBC (brand new in box) that I was planning on using. Now I am trying to decide if I should just sell it and get a solenoid for use with the UTEC but it sounds like its quite ready for that.

Will the UTEC speed map the boost for the guys that are making InSaNe power?

I believe it will control boost and maps based on the parameters the USER sets it to.For example my MAPS are 0%-100% load site, 0%=vacume to 3psi,and 100% = 20 psi..I only hit 80% of my MAP at 14.5 psi, so I assume it will control whatever MAPPING you set the parameters to.. Say for example 0%= 0-5psi and 100%=30psi..In theory it should control whatever you tell it to..I could be wrong..

I Think so..

being able to store a high boost/low boost and pump gas/race gas setup on the utec without the need for a $500 EBC.....
