LOL...was just kidding about solenoid bling!

BTW, does that map switch fit in our cars in the empty slot next to the VDC button? I'll probably be ordering one shortly.

Who said anything about bling over performance...... I see your not very familiar with my car. No bling on my car. Aquant yourself with the sig below.

But it would be nice to have a nice looking component under the hood instead of that crappy looking thing.

Can I hide it in your car? That thing was definetly designed by GM for GM vehicles.

LOL, the other solenoids aren't much better asthetically or performance wise and cost 5x as much. Will Turbosmart even sell their solenoid alone? Any idea if it performs any better than the GM?

LOL !!!

Yes.... TS will sell the solenoid seperately. It's $80 but unknown quality. We can test the quality on your car.

Currently it does not fit in the switch blank. It happens to be a different since blank than we have been carrying. It is a exercise to fit it on the Z. I will look into sourcing the Z part no.

The UTEC Map Selector allows you to switch between the stock mode, five tunable maps, valet mode and security mode. So that is actually 8 maps.

Thanks,

Dont worry Jermaine, we will "MAKE" it fit...A little duct tape, hot glue, bondo, fiberglass and a sledge hammer, go a long way..

To my knowledge, nobody has acheived 14psi with the APS stock boost actuators. I think 10-12psi is the limit, and many people havent even hit 11psi. In the case of the APS kit, the peak boost is determine by the actuator, and the 6lb stock actuator is going to be challenged to hit 12psi, with a boost controller. Most of the guys running built motor APS kits have upgraded actuators.

You will also find that the higher quality boost controllers will improve boost reponse, as the higher capacity units will permit the wastgate to open at the very last second....improving boost spool up, while still avoiding spikes. They also have sophisticated auto modes, that allow the user target onto a specific level, rather than relying only on duty cycle control.
