Ive got A Vortech T-trim blower making 13.5psi [ working on more right now ] Dynoed it on a low reading Mustang dyno and got 400rwp and 320trq . Sharif said he has dynoed a car on a Mustang dyno and got 400whp and went to a Dynojet the same day and got 470whp on it . So would think mine would do close to that . I hope to get 16psi out of the new set up Im working on and some more HP

I'm at 400rwhp with my procharger at 12psi but that's with 8.5.1 low compression pistons with a built engine by SGP racing.

What is nice about superchargers is that the boost is so linear. If I didn't know better (and couldn't hear the s/c whine) I would describe the engine as feeling like a big V8 because the boost doesn't spike like it does with turbo's

im sure if i ran the 9lb pulley i would have hit the 11's.....i should have done it....but i would have probably been floating on a thing line :-p of making this thing pop....i was making around 360whp when i ran my 12.3 i was running street tires. not drag radials or a slick...just a simple street tire. It was a pretty cold night, but i was revving to about 7300 or 7500 rpms....i didnt lift to shift so i was making near to 8lbs or 9lbs of boost almost....i was only running test pipes on stock exhaust...i had the greddy e-manage w/ rpm signal adapter, AAM spec fuel system, 440cc injectors, everything else was stock though...car was a beast...loved it, kinda wish i didnt sell it...but ive got other plans...

SGP built mine also . I was at 9 to 1 pistons , but dropped it to 8.5 to 1 the second time around

i had my ecu reflashed and mike raised my rev limiter to 7500 rpms w/ the AAM technosquare reflash...i wish i still had the ATI unit....i could have broken into the 11's no problem w/ stock internals and 9lbs i beleive....i highly recommend upgrading the tranny to shift faster and etc...because my tranny was having problems as i had the supercharger for longer and longer....i kept having to double tap to get into gears sometimes....but i saw SGP's upgraded valve boby's, i just wish someone would come out with upgraded clutch packs and forged parts....so these transmissions could be beafy like the supra aftermarket trannys....

Here is the problem with high HP with the Procharger. With 8.5.1 pistons you need more boost than say the stock compression ratio. Of course you can run allot more boost with low comp pistons but you guys know that already. The max impeller speed on the procharger is 80,000

My kit and pulley configuration is currently running at 86,000 impellar rpm's and I max out at 12psi because my engine breaths really well with the aftermarket exaust. Unless you get the procharger balance and get race bearings I don't think you really can boost much higher than 12-14 psi but I do know that ATI procharger can do some special tricks to make it spin faster.

400rwhp is nice for daily driving, and if I need or really want it all I need to do is turn on the NOS. I have the 50shot jetted rights now but as soon as the NOS comes in the boost jumps to 15psi and the car jumps up to 500rwhp and about 450 rwlbs from 2.5rpm all the way to redline.

It's a nice feeling

i figured i had pushed the car hard eneough for such a long time on a daily basis might i add....and i wanted to get into a different project...so i took it off and sold it...decided to work with another vehicle till more R&D is done on these motors and what not...if i going to rebuild it, i dont want the car to have to be rebuilt at such and early stage...its basically a brand new car...i didnt want to have the reason to build it because i blew it up...should not be the case to just spend more money on something thats basically brand new...if you get what i mean? but i will build it eventually and when i do its going to be done right...the correct parts and etc for HIGH HIGH HP....i dont plan on pushing a measily 600whp....i want big #'s and the right parts when i do do it...i love the Z though and always will...im a die hard Z fan, i really want to get a 240sx and make that another project car of mine....but one at a time...i dont have the income or time to be doing all these cars at the same time...

Sin, i hear where your coming from...... now that im in the game of f/i already, i prolly would have made a diff. selection...... i dont think i would have went with the procharger, but now that im in, im in and im going to stick with it and make it happen. If i had to start all over the first thing i would have done, is build my engine..... But i went with the procharger cause i got a good deal on it.... and was very excited. at the time i wanted to get a supercharger. now i realize the real power is with twin turbo's...... and a built engine. i've got a **** load of money in my car now, the outside will be done in 2 weeks except for wheels..... i wanna get as much whp out of my car as possible with my current set up..... im gettin better and spendin more time on the forum everyday. i want to run 400whp and 350lbs. of trq. and im goin to its def attainable.... all the info i get is appreciated...... tref, how did u tune your car for nos.... i asked AAM about gettin a 50 shot and they didn't recomend it, im not going to do it, atleast i dont think so..... but im still curious, they said it would be hard to tune..... thanx for the info its def. helpfull........what do u use for engine management, im gonna go with the utec as of right now, im going to finish my motor this spring..... the next car i get.... prolly like 5 years from now, i will take my time and do it right, as of right now i think i will have one of the most complete procharged Z's out there, i cant compete with a 650hp twin turbo, but supercharged wise i will be able to compete with n e thing i think....... i will have pictures in a couiple weeks of my car complete, im lookin threw the classifieds everyday for wheels..... im not sure if what size im going with, prolly 18" but not definet yet....... right now i have heavy *** 20"...... but im going to get black with a polished lip......

Your totally right, that's what sucks about superchargers. Plus my belt basically torn to shreds last night because it was too loose. But nothing beats instant torque and HP like superchargers

If you guys ever get a chance to ride in a supercharged Z with 12-14psi of boost I think you would be very surprised how much torque and power they put out with absolutely no turbo lag at all.

It's been almost 2 years now and I'm still on my original belt.. It's starting to slip a little at high RPM (dyno says so) but I haven't had any belt problems..
