Default Upgrade to 7lbs or 8lbs pulley with Stillen Stage2

I had the Stillen s/c’er stage 2 installed about 10 days ago. It came with the 6lbs pulley but I have the option of upgrading to 8lbs pulley [aftermarket].

Stage 3 comes with a 7lbs pulley and all that would be required is to swap the 6lbs pulley from stage 2 with the new one. Would the same also apply if I upgrade to the 8lbs pulley or should I stick with the 7lbs pulley?

I’m interested in a relatively reliable boost in power.

Thanks.

Are you planning on just bolting up the pulley and letting it fly?? If so then stick with the 7lb pulley. If you go to 8lbs you will start running the car lean and will need to consider a alternate fuel delivery system. Either way you go there will not be a huge increase in the power that is produced. These superchargers are nice as a safe alternative from stock but are incredibly hard to push much further than 350whp. With the 7lb pulley you should be able to get it into the 330's and hopefully be happy with what you have. Enjoy the ride and sound of the blower, just don't expect to push the numbers these guys with the TT's have.

Hey Palfx:
This is the current situation with the blower.

The stage 2 like you said is a 6psi pulley
The stage 3 is 7 psi, and only requires the 90 dollar pulley from stillen. The kit comes rich enough to handle this change in air fuel ratio

Stillen now has a STAGE 4 kit. It cost around 700 bucks, and gives u a diffrent pulley, upgraded fuel pump and injector and requires either a tune at stillen, or a replacement box with the tune.

The stage 4 is still in the works... They were looking for a car in the northeast or northwest to test in cooler temps. I emailed them asking for more information on how a guy on here got a ST4 kit. They said they havnt release any kits to customers cars. But there will be releasing a 9LB pulley very soon. Brining around 340WHP & 330WT and a car with exhaust and supercharger only.

Thanks for the great help. I also purchased the 3-year warranty and would like to keep that if possible. Can I get the 7lbs pulley from someplace without having to give Stillen the serial number from my charger which would void my warranty?

I have been trying to do the same thing. All you need to do is take your stage 2 pulley and get it machined to the stage 3 specs. I dont have the specs but i believe there are a few members on this board, that know what size would be the 7psi.
