Default Best/Most Accurate boost controller?

Hello, I am trying to see what is the best / most accurate boost controller for the money. I am going to be in the 11-15 psi range and want something dependable, I am running an EU for EMS, Please advise on whats better, and the diffrence between single and dual seloniod units. Thanks, George.

When I had my Evo I used the Hallman Pro. Came with two springs for heavy and light boosting. I would recommend that. They also offer a in-cab controller to rasie and lower the boost without having to get out rasie the hood, change the boost, shut hood and get back in to set it.

The best stand-alone boost controllers I have used are the Blitz SBC-iD. Steady boost, no spikes, and very easy to use.

You do not need a UTEC to utilize the Dtec boost controller, but I have been looking at its features and it has all the needed features of some much more expensive boost controllers on the market. The only thing I dont like is it uses a gameboy interface..

I agree. Anyone have a picture of the actual DTEC boost control harware? The TXS website only shows the gameboy interface.

Since you stipulated "best controller for the money" I have to say Greddy Profec SpecII.

using a greddy single solenoid boost controller is a great way to be left with a bad taste in your mouth about electronic boost controllers.

SBC i-D and HKS EVC are the best I have used... and I only mean the latest EVC, I hate the older ones.

best for the money...

nothing compares to a good Manual boost controller with a fine adjustment. the biggest thing i would be concerned about is do u understand how to adjust the ebc's? i dont, all that add this less that stuff u have to do to make it hit 11psi is too much. i simply pop the hood and use an allen key to turn it up or down, 1 turn on my TurboXS mbc=3psi

If you get the Blizt power meter you unlock more potential from the SBC, you can map your boost to speed!! Comes in handy for low speeds for take off!

Agree... this is why I love my HKS EVC... I only have to adjust one setting and it works very solid. Consistent within eh .2psi or so. Not only that, but I have it setup in AC mode with my twin externals... which doesnt work well with most boost controllers and external wastegates, but if you can get away with it, its much cleaner... as in less vacuum lines and Tees.

there really aren't any spectacular features on the I-color........it's just color.

Based on what I've seen, the Apex'i AVC-R is one of the best, most feature filled for the price. The World Electronics one is incredible, but ugly and expensive.

that has the be the crappiest controller ever made. There were so many problems with it, in terms of actually working, that greddy stopped making it and reused the old profec design with the profec type-s.

I tried the Spec II, and it was a freaking worthless hunk of crap. Regular profec=glorious, however.

I had the AVC-R in my MR2 back in 1998... its a very old unit and I didnt find it to be very consistent back in the day.
