Nobody makes gearing that low. Lowest you can easily do is the auto gear like stated above.

Its actually 3.3 gearing. Its from a 5AT. What about the LSD tho. Do you swap out the ring and pinion only or how does that work.

Just install larger diameter tires on your current wheels; same result, far easier and you can have almost any final drive rollout you want....

Gearing is NOT the answer to ridding your car of wheelspin. Traction is. A good tire and suspension setup is far more important than gearing.

I have stock gearing and ZERO traction issues.

I swaped out my BMW M3 rear diff from a 3.15 to a 2.93 when I turbo'ed it and yes gearing does help out with wheel spin. Try putting a 3.9 on your turbo Z and see what happens.

i have a 5at with 3.3 and recently swapped pumpkins with a turbo guy with 6mt 3.5 gears, and the whole process took about an hour. if you swap the entire pumpkin, it'll be super-easy.

Sounds like a good solution, now I just have to find someone willing to trade me. If not I am thinking of installing Racelogic TC I have laying around.

Going from a 3.5 to a 3.36, will this mess up you speedo? Or just increase gearing.

Do the 5AT have VLSD's stock?

it's a 3.36, not a 3.2 and no it won't mess up the speedometer

IMO it'll help, but not tons. It's almost not worth it. The stock 5AT diff housing will not let you put in an aftermarket LSD unless it's the 5AT cusco one I think. the 5AT housing isn't as long I don't think so that's why. What people REALLY want is the 3.3 final drive put in a 6MT housing with an LSD of their choice - however the ATS LSD will not work with the 3.36 (or 3.91) final drive so you'll have to go with Nismo, Cusco, or Quilife or whatever

Definitely not neccessarily true. Like BriGuyMax, traction is way more important and the primary deciding factor in regards to 1/4 times. As long as you have a good tire and suspension setup, the shorter the gears, the faster you'll accelerate. (Again, traction allowing). I think the 6MT gearing is just fine. Now, there is such thing as too short where you reach your top speed way to early.(ie: car is able to trap at 125mph but you only have gearing up to 120mph). Though, this is hardly an issue.

Sure, with taller gearing you'll have a higher top speed but who races to above 150?

Tires and suspension is just as important as making the power.

IMO, the key is to find that happy medium between using the shortest gearing possible while on the edge of losing traction but still maintaining it.
