Well.... the truth is we ( FI owners) create the market.
Scenario.... I ask $45K. Guy walks up to me.... Sweet car. No negotiating points. Car is perfect. All the bugs worked out. Hey... your asking too much. Well.... take a hike. Like there are more than 1 or 2 FI z's out there at any single time? Where are you going to go this fast for $45,000 dollars.

KBB shows in excellent condition is worth $25,2xx from private seller. I'd say you can get about that. Unfortunately, adding $20,000 in mods to a car does not increase the cars value by anywhere near that much. Sometimes it actually decreases the cars value.
You may be better off taking off the extra parts you have installed and selling them. Return the car back to stock and im sure it will be much easier to sell that way.

most people will not pay for a used car over the price of brand new. You have a nice car but if i am in the market to buy a car and i have 45K to play around, I will probably go for a brand new car instead of a used one. A brand new base Z is like $27-29K (depending on where you are) and I still have around $15K left to mod the hell out of it......
If you do sell, take it back to stock and sell me:
Turbo XS UTEC piggyback ECU
Turbo XS Manual boost controller
Turbosmart 48mm Progate wastegate
By the way, Did these parts fix that overboost issue that we have spoke about?
In regards to the thread, you could realistically get around 32-36 k for your car as it sits, but why sell what you have so relentlessly built, I would suggest drive it til it blows up then rebuild, then repeat, etc., etc., and so forth.

What most people will pay is not the issue really. I'm asking market value. I'm asking what these cars are fetching not really personal opinions. I'll tell you what... see what you can build for $15,000 dollars. You certainly couldn't build this for $15,000.

if i sold mine i would expect to only see $35k for it. just the way it works. now if you get it in magazines or a movie or win alot of car shows, then that can help with the value. other than that, mods mostly go down the toilet for value.
market value...ummm....well, if you are talking about your own market value, then add the value of your car, parts, labor and time spent together.......
if you are talking about general public market value, then it is a different story...

anyhow, you got a nice car!!

I have sceen 2 cars sell for alot, after mods, one is a yellow widebody NSX with a custom SC 120,000.00 sold, and Kenny Trans Supra 70,000.00. The only reason why these cars fetched so much money was because the cars were shown off like crazy, made every mag. The rides had a really good rep, the person that purchased them was a rich *** lady, that goes from car show too car show, showing off cars, and winning a few thousand a show, but other than that if you just sell your FI z as is, youll loose money, unless you find a real dumb ***. People are gonna question why you are selling such a nice car, and with Z owners, there pretty ****
People need to chill with pillaging my car for parts..... DAMN !!!!
It's not even for sale.... just wondering what it is worth.
Friggin vultures.....

id pay about 30k for it. that is of course assuming that you have documentation of the install being done right, and i get to take it to a mechanic to check the compression and overall status of the engine. unfortunately its all about what the buyer will pay for it.
youd get more just by parting it out.

when they are really worth 60k.
