I took Adam from Z1auto for a spin, and the first thing out of his mouth "This is the way it should have come from the factory"
This is the first kit done by PM... They really took there time. It had a tiny oil leak... They took care of it right away... I've been looking for spots... None so far. It idles great, no smoking, no bogging or pinging... Very smooth. To say the least.
What's great about it similar to the APS (GT Series turbos) they scream! Sounds like a jet from the outside!
It's always boosting... In vacum it's pulling...
The kit is new there are only a hand or two hand full of JWT TT Z's on the road. This is why the kit is available from Performance Motorsport. PM and JWT are working together to get real world feedback from us.

PS did you get my e-mail?

Kudos:
· Water-cooled, full ball-bearing turbochargers
· Has everything you’d expect from a factory turbocharger
· Benchmark drivability characteristics, with across-the-board horsepower and torque delivery
Bottom line: A Wolf in sheep’s clothing--this twin turbo is so well-executed it could pass for stock.
I am glad to see an owner reinforce SZM's observations. I am sure the owners of the Turbonetics, Air Power Systems, GReddy, Power Enterprise, and Speed Force Racing kits will find the "kudos" we stated regarding their kits were accurate as well.

I didn't find your comparison very useful, well - maybe the spec chart, but not the dyno's or other data.
If you really wanted to compare the kits, you should have at a bare minimum had all cars that were running at the recommended stock boost levels and without any installation problems or other issues...
From your recent posts on the forum, you certainly are a JWT Fan!

I've been in a lot of cars with turbos, where heat was a serious issue... And it ends up like a sauna in the car... Even though we are adding two turbos to the coolant system the needle does not budge from it's prior location when it was N/A

I think I've seen 212 once or twice. Weather out here is like 80-85 degrees.
Are you using the stock radiator? I' might put in a NISMO thermostat...

. Easy fix though. I try not to touch anything on my car as I am not very mechanically inclined. I usually end up spending more if I try and do something myself!

Unfortunately when Mark asked me to cut mine for him (I was trying to help on my install, so Mark would give me the grunt work like that so I couldn't f$@! anything up ... LOL), I didn't realize it was a part that would show so I kinda hacked it up a little

Also I am curios why you called our shop last month to ask our opinion on which kit we were reccomending? 2+2 is starting to add up...Hmmm.

Yes, in a perfect world, we could buy 6 350Z's and install the kits to get the perfect test however that is a dream world. No magazine I know of, including the biggest car magazines there are, does anything more than we did which is basically test cars given to us. In fact, I think you will find that new cars tested in many mags such as Motor trend, C&D, R&T etc have performance levels that exceed what owners get (0-60 etc). A good example of that is a test on the M45 0-60). Call them ringers if you like. The big difference with SZM is we actually dyno the cars to a set standard thus you actually know what they pulled. Most of the above mags I just mentioned simply spit out exactly what the manufactures tell them using their specs without verification.
We will report exactly what happens in a test. If the car experiences problems for whatever reason, it is part of the data. The PE car reflected exactly what was going on with PE cars of that period. He changed out some parts because PE themselves came out with the new parts. You cant have it both ways, up to the minute reporting and cars that have been running for 6 months. We got a JWT car as soon as it was available. The TN car just got on the street itself. Readers got a look at the kits early in the form they were in. The TN car had some problems and the good part is readers got to see just how good TN's customers service was in fixing it a week after the test. TN has done that again and again since then and it is good for readers to see this in the article, knowing about their service.
2. I like all of the kits for different reasons. Those reasons are listed in the kudo's and write ups of the article.
3. I find it interesting that who and some others did not find the article up to what you hoped. It interesting that with the owners of the JWT kit and owners of other turbo kits, the pros and cons of what we wrote about on each are very close to what owners themselves say after owning those kits. Regardless if the JWT was running 6.8 or 7.8 boost levels, the charactor is the kit (or any kit) does not change.
