Exclamation Does anyone have experience with UTEC and exactly what setup are you using????

Please tell me if you run only the UTEC, or if you have the TUNER ADDITION, or the TUNER PRO ? What gains are you getting or better yet, do you have to have anything in combination with the UTEC, to tune ? Sharif was very helpful with this situation, and I was wandering if anyone else has or recommends the UTEC. I have bought the UTEC, and now I am curious to see if I need anything else to help dial/tune my Z in, I am down to my LAST !!!

I have UTEC installed on my NA Zr. I definitely recommend UTEC for FI applications, particularly the TN kit as it only comes with an ECU reflash.

There are many more qualified folks on this forum, but you can only benefit from having UTEC added to your TN setup.

I picked up 15whp w/ UTEC tuning and approx. 20 ft/lbs of torque on my NA application.

The results will be MUCH better on an FI application.

EDIT: I have the Tuner Reg Pro with Map Switch

DB350z10:
you have the tuner pro sending the a/f signal to the aem wideband gauge? So you are not using the aem a/f sensor/sender? If so, thats cool.

yes... I just got a hold of the gauge only and the tunner already has the bosch sensor so it is good to go and you just plug and play!

hmmn, I wonder if that will work with MY aem...its the older one that only goes down to 11. I bet it will not work or at least not plug and play like yours. I think they may have changed the connector.

That is cool though.

If the sensor is a bosch or VW one it SHOULD work with the tuner and tuner pro..

not sure what kind of sensor they included back then, probably bosch but AEM came out with a newer version of their wideband gauge since I got mine. The new gauge has a connector among other changes. So I think with the new gauge you can connect from the tuner/tuner pro unit directly to the gauge as DB350z10 did. Mine might have to be spliced in. Not sure.

DB350z10: where did they mount the tuner unit? Also, did the map switch fit next to the VDC button? I'm waiting for TurboXS to release the right map selector switch for the Z.

I use sunco 94 octane and that is on 3 of my maps..... stock 8psi, 8.5 psi and 9.5psi and then 100 octane at 9.5psi and then 110 octane at 8.5 psi!
That is what we have planned... hopefully done at the end of this week.. SO MUCH damn data loging lol... its alot of work so when tuners give you a scary price its WORTH it!

Thats a great Idea... I dont know where they have mounted the stuff yet but Will ask tomorrow, I am thinking if possible in the center council, so it would be easier to listen with the headphones.

My map switch was installed in the open bay next to the seat heater switch. What do you mean by "right" map selector swich?
