thanks for the info Gary.
starcraft are those metalic or ceramic? is there a part number listed on the cats? Maybe the part number was changed when they switched material.

on the random tech page it says 812204(left) and 812205(right). http://www.randomtechnology.com/nissan.html

On ebay someone is trying to sell them under the part number 702204(left) and 702205(right). http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Rando...spagenameZWDVW

duh, it says it on the front page of random tech. "round, metal matrix 7000 series"

"round, ceramic 8000 series".

so there are no reports of internal problems with ceramic right?

They still make both versions. I know they recently changed their part numbers so you may want to call Random and ask.

The Part # is printed on a sticker on the cats.

I have not heard of any of the ceramics failing.
