Default Got Fuel??

I just stopped by Protech Performance to check on my fuel system they have been working on, and they just installed a dual walbro pump assembly intank. I am gonna try to post up some pictures, after I get off work today. It completely replaces the stock assembly with an aluminum sump holding 2 walbro's.

Does anyone else have a dual pump ***. in tank yet??

Has anyone made one before??

I'm sooo excited... cant wait to get my car tomorrow!!!

ours is pretty much done... just waiting for this special component that i ordered 2 weeks ago now... was supposed to be here but ahh well... what can ya do... i dont mind coming out late as long as ours is the best but now my partner is on vacation for a week... and its gonna hurt cause that fuel system thread got so much attention it wiped us out and now with brandon gone we cant run the machines for another week... and is also setting back the twin pumps... even if i got that component, with brandon gone there is no way we can finish it... so at least another week now.

never heard of the 3x rule? you should know by now.

Here is some sample pics they gonna get some better pictures of it soon. But there are about 5 pics on there gallery right now that you guys can check out. Here is a link to one and then just flip through the gallery at the others.

I talked to the shop and they said they will try to post up in a day or so to explain how it works but it works exactly how the stock assembly did. When they tested the setup in was pulling fuel from both sides of the test sump and overfilling the cup. It uses the same type of jets to syphon fuel from the other side of the sump.

Whats the point of twin pumps? Fuel requirements at higher boost or low injector pressure at high boost?

looks very promising except i do not see any type of siphon there... they maintained the factory swirl jet but i cant see anything in there that would pull fuel from the driver side?

A single Walbro 255 is good for 550whp before it starts loosing pressure up to. A twin setup should be good for 800whp.....maybe more. That feed and return line might need an upgrade as well.

Phunk

It has a syphon just cant really see it in those pictures, I'll try to get you some better pics when I can. And yes the swirl jet still works quite well, a second or so after the pumps kick on fuel is overflowing out of the cup.

Nissan sure did there homework on that one..... Mazda did too with the rx8... its the same thing just different style. Probably all the new cars gonna use the same design.

Thanks for the feedback

Jon
