APS TT Owners look here!!
Hello all,
I'm looking for some long term feedback on your APS TT Kits. I plan on installing one and using the car as a daily driver, even in the winter. I want to hear the good, bad and horrific.
How does it run in the cold weather?
How has the reliability been?
Are you running stock internals?
Is it your daily driver?
Thanks for your time!!

Runs fantastic in cold weather...only problem in the cold is traction.
No problems to date....kit was installed June of last year.
completely stock motor.
Not my "official" daily driver. ie, it doesn't see rain or snow. If it's nice out, I drive it. If it's crappy out...I drive my truck.
That being said I would NOT recommend a Turbo kit for someone who's Z is their only car. Too many factors involved to truely make it a reliable daily driver. You NEED a second vehicle if you plan a project like this.

not really...many guys around my power level and a few over 500whp on the stock motor.
I have had the APS TT on my car now for over a year. It still runs great, but I would also recommend that you have a second car for back up.
The only problem is to get the stupid grin off my face after driving it.

Thanks for the replies guys, keep them coming. My philosophy is that if I'm going to spend so much money on a car, I am going to drive it everyday. I am going to opt for the 91 octane lowest boost map as well just to be safe, I'm not looking for awesome power, just a little boost.

Stock block
23k miles on Turbo kit 51k on car.
462whp 9.5psi with JWT Cams and exhaust
Daily Driven but definitely get a 2nd car before. Im now looking for one and its a pain in the butt.
I've taken the car to LA twice there and back, up to Mt.Shasta, NAPA, all over and its been very reliable to me. Make sure you get it tuned correctly and as much as you want the tuner/installer to hurry to give you the car back let them take their time and get it right the 1st time.
Dont be surprised if you go through some thermostats.

Do I need to get the APS TT Kit tuned? I thought the Unichip/Piggy back system they have with the base maps was all that I needed? I'm not going to alter anything boost wise or other.
No other mods, for the cost of the APS TT kit, lol, who can afford any more! Rich is good, rich equals safe, and I'll get more than enough power(for me anyway) with their maps. I just want reliable everyday boost, and the components of the APS TT kit lead me to believe that it's the most complete and best quality kit out there, for bolt on anyway.

why pair a 3" exhaust with a base kit with cats on stock block?????
get the kit, run the 2.5" exhaust and test pipes. cheaper, don't need cats, will be plenty toleraable as a daily driver, and put down plenty of power
