eh, what a turd.... haha just kidding... god damn that is beautiful. i had my car stripped down for track days, but i am just jealous (mine was still my daily driver). congrats. i rememebr when my car was gone for 4 months during part of the build up and all i would do is get all these pictures.. it drove me nuts.,... all i wanted to do was drive her. then that first drive in it once you get it... HANG ON!!! i more than tripled my WHP (about 110 RWHP to 387RWHP) during my build up... some scary moments the first time out at the track when you are not used to it.

keep the shiney side up, and happy tracking.

ps.. i would seriously look into alcohol injection (AquaMist), an EGT gauge, an A/F ratio gauge, and a J&S safeguard for that beast. those all saved my a$$ at one point or another. you have enough money in it you might as well.

Thanks! This was on your '74 Z I take it? The wideband gauge is in the car, the EGT gauge, as well as an oil temp and boost gauge, are sitting next to me right now. I will look into the AquaMist and J&S safeguard. Do you have links to those two things? Thanks!

Looks good man and good luck. Although, if you haven't even driven the car yet, I don't know why you already have plans to turn the boost up a lot higher. I have the JWT kit right now at stock boost (6.8) and I have to feather it in first to take off or I lose all traction and every other gear I have to let off the pedal too because it pulls so hard and wants to break loose. All that power means nothing if you can't put it to the ground. How do you plan on doing that? I'd love to know because I need to do it then too!! lol I love the torque mine has at this low of a boost!!!

no, unfortunately i have never owned a Z... these were on my MR2's. The first one was NA before i did the turbo swap and full build up...

Aqua mist http://www.aquamist.co.uk/

J and S knock sensor (pulls timing if it detects knock) http://www.jandssafeguard.com/index.html

another good gauge is oil pressure. on my black mr2, i ran the Apexi power FC and that monitored throttle body inlet temps (post intercooler) and you are right, it is very helpful.

here is a link to my build up (*just about 1/8 of the pictures)

Brian, I am glad you are as impressed with this JWT TT kit as much as I told you you would be. Congrats on the wise decision.

This is how we, and how Mike B. (350ZNV) will get all that power to hook up better..................We run a R compound 315/30/18 on the rears and usually run a 285/30/18 on the front.

I was going to ask what's up with all the VRT ads on your car, but know I get it. You have an awesome set up! Enjoy it.

Yep! Also remember that this is a track car so I won't be doing any launches or anything.

Thanks man! Its a Nismo Replica spoiler. If you have an OEM spoiler on your car now, don't get the real Nismo as it will not cover the holes left by the OEM spoiler. If you don't have a spoiler get the real Nismo.

I would think that the J&S Safegaurd would be a waste of money. IF I am not mistaken they are about $400. In all honesty, it may be worth just getting a UTEC then. It will be over double that amount, but the tuning control you would have would be amazing. I am not very familiar with the JWT so maybe it wouldnt be worth it, but something to maybe consider.

Here's the latest dyno sheet! Enjoy...

I am not keeping it at this level of course, this is just to see what it can do.

Keep in mind this dyno chart uses icriments of 200 rpms so on a different dyno chart, the torque band would smooth out quite a bit. 440wtq and above from 2850rpms to redline!!!!
