Glad to see the public post. I have been trying to keep my mouth shut for a couple of weeks now. I am glad that Mike is happy with the results. I know this car took some time, but it is the only privately owned full race 350Z I have seen. Fuel cell, Weldon pump, roll cage, no mufflers, ignition, etc . The car is loud and sounds like it means business.

Congrats Mike, I expect you to pass through Dallas on the way home to give me a ride.

Dont know but, I am really ready to find out & have setup the MAP to 35 PSI....This car is way to loud for the street, the pump is loud, etc...but, he said he was going to drive it some anyway...I have dynos from OUR Dynapak & from the other Dynojet...so I will post both when I can get to a scanner, I tried to take a pic with the camera but, it just will not come out right...@ 10 PSI the car makes 575 & 560FT LB....Crazy...Just NUTS...It is running C16 right now but, has been setup to take pump gas up to 13 PSI or so about 640+....I will post more later but, 737 RWHP & 689 Ft. There are 2 more coming soon & we just released a VERY nice 550 RWHP auto on pump gas to a lucky customer in Arkansas...Thanks TIM!!!!!........I am OUT!!!

Hello Mark,

What are the cooling mods that you guys have done? and how can I get my hand on one of those HKS DLI?

Thanks,

what kind of differences are there between this HKS DLI of yours and the ones that are currently on the market (HKS DLI And HKS DLI II)

I think the only difference is a plug and play harness? Wiring it without a plug and play is kinda a pain, we put one in a 300ZX 2 years ago.

Both the DLI and the DLI II are for distributorless ignition systems, however the difference between the two is that the DLI II is required for applications where the ignitor and coil are integrated. The HKS DLI II is what is to be used for the 350Z.

Because off this, these applications require a more complex application specific harness that is more than just wires and connectors, compared to the plug and play harnesses of the DLI's. Therefore all DLI II applications come with an application specific hanress.

It took the Z community 3 years to reach the 700hp mark...i'm going to bet that in 1 year we are going to see a handful of Z's in reach this new benchmark

Great numbers!

C16, a fuel cell and an external fuel pump don't really constitute a street car IMO – you’re going to have some serious competition if you ever plan on racing the car.

I'm guessing it's the heads lifting that's the biggest obstacle to date.

1+

The numbers are great... It's nice to see how far modded 18g's can go... But this is somewhat in the class of Performance Motorsports Pro Street car (1200WHP) They are running an Turbo 400 Tranie, Ice cooler...

Don't get me wrong what they have achieved is great...

I want to see what kind of power can we make on just plain 91 octaine gasoline... There is the challange...

My car is at SGP right now. I fly out on 02/17 to drive it home. I am getting these cooling mods. I don't know if I am at liberty to post them online, so I will keep it hush until SGP chimes in. They don't seem to think the cooling issues have to do with the heads lifting though. The cooling mods are working so far.

At 800whp coming off the line, I wonder what drivetrain piece will break first ( if its stock axles, differential and transmission). I call axles first...

P.S. I love those numbers, good work on that Z we are all proud.

With built internals I would say the power level would be around 500-575whp with 91 octane. The supras which have very low compression pistons run around 550whp-600whp on 91.

3.5L>3.0L......at the same compression should make more power once more people adopt EM like the Utec.
