i would like to know more about this as well. currently running 3.12 pulley with other mods hitting 400 wheel hp. I would like to increase lower end torque, i currently have 342 wheel tq and would like around 380 tq and 450 wheel hp. i know i'll probably end up needing blower upgrade and fuel upgrade as well.

Well, talked to Vortech Today, They were a little help but not much.
1. The SC-trim is a CUT down S-Trim Impeller.
2. The S-trim will make more boost-Duh

That is all I could get from them.............
People that have this upgrade are the source of INFO.......

It would be nice to know what pulley are being used and what the Boost curve looks like

I wouldnt think that the curve is much different , just alittle sooner boost and a little more up top . What are you guys making with the 2.87 ?

I'm running the Vortech Fuel System with FMU and Splitsecond Box and Stock Injectors. It works fine, no fuel issues. AFR is 11.5 to 11.8 after about 3200 RPM to 6600 RPM @ WOT

I don't have Dyno numbers with the 2.87 pulley and Alpawerks Headers added

Dynojet Numbers With this Combo
Vortech, 3.12 pulley, Ijen SES and parially gutted cats ( about 9-9.5PSI)
Tuned by Hampton Engineering in Spring Hill, Florida
394.2whp @ 6450 rpm
330.5 wtq @ 6000 rpm
This dyno was done on a hot summer day in Florida, 90 degrees plus and very high humidity.

thats weird, im running 3.12 pulley, headers, test pipes, and exhaust making 400 wheel hp and 342 tq without even getting 8 psi. (very close though), maybe the test pipes i have makes a difference. i would like to go to the 2.87 pulley but wasnt sure if the vortech fuel system alone would be able to handle it, i'll probably only hit 10 psi since im only getting close to 8 psi with the 3.12 pulley. im going to look into doing this .

The Vortech fuel system can handle the 2.87 pulley and you are correct in assuming around 10psi with test pipes. With stock cats it hits about 11.5psi.

would it be possible to get an upgraded trim blower, a pulley that will make a lot more boost (hypothetically say a pulley that would make around 15psi, so boost is much higher at lower rpm than with the 3.12 or 2.87), and then add a wastegate so it would just bleed off anything over 10 psi? that way you have higher boost at a lower rpms but still limit the boost at the higher rpms?

note that i dont really know that much about s/cs or wastegates other than the little info i have learned on this forum, so forgive me if that makes absolutely no sense. just a thought i had, and i think i remember reading that a member did something like this.

booger,
I know you're running a t-trim but for the life of me I can't find any write-up's about your review of it. I guess my search criteria is a lil too broad..

Edit: Sorry for the hijack move..Also interested in the feedback from this thread as well.

The SC and the S trim has different impellers the main difference is you have to turn the SC trim harder then the S trim to make the same power so basically the S trim is more efficient of the two. You honestly would not see the difference in HP until higher boost levels honestly if you are looking for a bigger supercharger I would say go with the T trim but I would suggest forged internals with that setup.
