Default 2006 Porsche 911 TT Steps Up to The Plate

with 473 bhp. That's about 400 AWHP. Soooo better tune your FI for 425 RWHP or more. 425 to make up for his AWD launch. Better not bring a knife to a gun fight. Horespower numbers are getting insane. They were aiming @ the Lamborghini Gallardo for a performance goal. That's the car I had in my sites as well while building my car. I ended up a little short @ 410 RWHP.

Bolting on a stockTN/APS/Greddy turbo kit will make you a hell of a lot faster but your still not in the ballgame yet to be a supercar killer as everyone ante's up.

This game is getting expensive. But I'm not up to the $130,000 Porsche TT or the $190,000 Gallardo bill yet.

What we do is build several 450 HP 350Z's and send them out in team profile.

Some can block the 911 in while the stock 400hp TT 350Z goes for the win.

Cheers Amy -

I agree it's a sick car....Mine's still faster.... But what I'm excited about is the new gtr is going to be going against the new porsche preformance wise so..the new gtr better have sub 4sec 0-60 times and do the quarter mile in 11.5 or less...Witch makes me excited because I don't think nissan is going to let us down....

I have 410 RWHP, and I can't get traction in first or second gear. How will more horespower better the situation. This Porsche can launch @ 6000 RPM, and gets traction in all gears. I don't think we can compete on this level with rear wheel drive from a stop.

i actually ran into a brand new one today, i dont wanna say punked him, but my buddy was recording a video, he kept telling the guy "lets go from a 40 punch" he wouldnt run, it was a younger guy too?? early 30's. I flew past him a few times, guy didnt run, but right next to him was a vette c5, i dont know what they run, but we did a second gear punch, i broke it loose at hi-rpm, shifted, and walked him about 3 lengths, this was on 7.5psi 426rwhp, then i was on the highway just now, i just got home, ran into a new z06 on the highway....ITS about time~!! I hope this isnt moved, because this is kind of a break down on what cars a TT at 400+ will beat. Well after, sounding of the BOV (who know if he even heard it) we started to take off at 60mph, i dont know if he got the jump on me or it was turbo lag, he jumped a half alength...Boost hit, i started pulling on him, got about half a car length before he shut it down, cars were coming up fast ide say we got up to 130mph. What a great feeling, even though i didnt own him, i was satisfied i pulled on him, this was at 7.5psi, i run 2 maps, i usually have it detuned to 4.9psi@350rwhp 7.5psi@426rwhp....i havent turned it up yet because my AF was like 11.9 ( i only have a walbro 255, and 440cc inj no return system) but i make 453@8.5psi, when i can get some 116 octane ill be running 8.5psi, but really i think 420rwhp on a Z, will take out most cars. Ive ran about every quick car and owned them or pulled-STi<-owned ferari modena<-owned <-lightly moded supra<-owned, i ran a viper before but the dumbazz wrecked it, waving bye to me, when i was keeping up, it was a older model, vettes are the only cars that are a good race and i have to switch to hi-boost, im sure a porsche would be a good run, if its nt from a dig

C5's are easy prey. A New Z06 should have owned you. He's got a much better power to weight ratio. You sure it was a Z06? Is the new TT 911 out yet? It's not even on the website yet.

Traction is everything. I couldn't imagine having any more power than I do at the moment and actually going anywhere when I hit the gas. I spin tires all the way through 1st and 2nd, and then finally start to feel traction in 3rd. I don't think I'd have much of a chance against any factory car with similar power ratings until I can fix this.

Pics?

When are you FI guys ever going to be happy? What's the point of spending all that money if you're not happy at this point of the game?

speaking of traction, i have 19s so there are no DRs, but i think i might buy some Pirelli PZero Corsa, has anybody had any experience with them. it says they are made for track, and that they grip well. but they are pricey.

The electronic AWD will kick our asses with all that torque, even if you have more torque than him, the AWD will give him traction at start up and on the curves. Your only hope is that you have better tires.
