Unhappy Turbonetics AT w/ cat = 328 hp & 324 tq???

Just got off the phone with my shop. Mustang dyno at 328 hp & 324 tq. Max boost was steady at 8lbs. w/ AF at mid 10's (rich). Besides being a 5AT w/ TN CAT version I also have a 5/16 spacer, Jet Hot coated stock headers, Injen dual exhaust & UR pulleys. Does this look right??? Any assistance is appreciated....HELP PLEASE...

I gotta believe thats not corrected? please post dynos. gotta see the power curve, if it is pretty straight no problems such as boost leaks and chit. They pry just gave you uncorrected numbers.

Couple things...first Mustang dynos tend to read kind of low. Second the cat is definitely not helping performance. I'd love to see what it makes without that cat..

BTW, my base dyno before TN was 248 hp & 234 tq....also, why is my AF at mid-10's...Is that causing power loss?....should I send back my ECU & reflash at TN or Technosquare???....Thanks, Jeff

No the AFRs tend to be a little low the first day or so. That cat is most certainly causing some backpressure that is hurting peformance. I'd say with the cat, on a 5AT car, on a Mustang dyno those numbers aren't bad. How does the car feel to you?

considering you are running an auto and a cat version dp, those numbers on a mustang dyno aren't that bad. From the cars I have seen run between a mustang dyno and a dynojet, it is roughly an 8-10% lower reading on a mustang. Taking 9% and adding it back in, you are at approximately 360 whp (dynojet).

Now, you also need to factor in you are running an injen exhaust that must be custom fabricated to fit a single downpipe. I don't consider the injen a very good exhaust for a turbo setup to begin with, considering the size of the piping.

I personally wouldn't be too disappointed with those numbers

edit:
Were your base dyno #s from the same dyno as the TN #s?

No, my base dyno was from Powertrain Dynamics in Huntington Beach. They used a Dynojet 248E Chassis dyno.

Considering you have an auto, even on a dynojet, I think those base numbers are a bit high. Take the car back to that dyno and give it a run, I bet you will see numbers closer to your expectations.

In the end, they are just numbers, so don't be dissapointed until you at least drive the car.

Agreed if those baseline numbers are from a Dynojet and not the same dyno that was used for the post install dyno you can't really rely on those. In checking gain you need to do a baseline before install and then post install dynos HAVE to be done on the same dyno as the baseline. Its the only way to accurately measure gain. I'm sure as Zivman said the numbers would be more what you expect if you go back to that other dyno.

Not bad at all considering the cat+auto+Mustang dyno....like stated, go back to where you got your first baseline and report back.

If you're running rich at 8 psi, maybe you can up the boost to 9.5 psi and see if you get a bit more power out of it.

I wouldn't. Most cars will run a little on the rich side out of box for the first few days. Should lean out to around 11s or so and stay there. ECU needs to adjust its timing based on knock detection.

Don't get bent out shape over a dyno. Take it to the track and see what your trap speed is.

Perfectly normal for a mustang dyno. I am willing to bet this is close to 375whp+ on a Dyonjet. I went through this with my car, on a local Mustang dyno a while back. 327whp on the mustang, and 407whp on a dynojet...one day apart.
