wait. you want to drop your 0-60 by over a 2 seconds, but you don't want a lot of horsepower, and you have an automatic???

unless you go boost that's not going to happen kiddo.

This is where I'm gonna tell you to search, read, and not post for a while.

Never been to the track. 6 cylinders with a automatic transmission. Beat a Corvette. What do I need?

You need about 10 pounds of common sense.

Buy another Vette! IM KIDDING! Spend a buttload on Turbo...then spend a buttload on making it stick! Are you talking 4 sec flat? if so spend more money.

What he is trying to say is that if you have never raced on a track and have no experience there no amount of power in the world is going to let you beat one unless its a freeway race. If you want a 4 second 0-60 car you are going to need quite a bit of boost, tranny modification, and tuning. I'm not really into 0-60 times but what 1/4 mile time are you looking to run?

Go twins and have someone build your motor and install it for you, if you have that kind of cash then go all out...

Cheapest way to beat your dad's vette is a couple of potatos in his exhaust pipes.

Twin Turbos
Trq conveter
valve body upgrade
maybe some 11" wide tires on a 18" rim(light weight and grippy)
turbo freindly exhuast
Test pipes

thats the basics, you could also do a built motor and boost about 12psi get like 600whp or so
