BLew a Greddy TT gasket HELP **PICS**
I just pulled my motor out yesterday so I can redo the Greddy TT installation and send my turbos off to get rebuilt, they have shaft play and were blowing massive amounts of oil out the exhaust and compressor side.

You'll find ALOT of pics here.
My problem is I blew a gasket and I don't really know where to get them cheap without having to go to Greddy for them.
Can these be found at a local discount auto?

you will not find the correct "gasket sheets" at any parts store. get a file, make sure both surfaces are completely flat, put a VERY thin layer of high temp rtv on it, then bolt together. the temp rating on the high temp rtv is 700 F. don't worry, you are using it under compression and it won't ever blow out.

just run it with out a gasket or you defeat the purpose. the reason the high temp stuff will work is the fact you are using it under compression. the heat range they refer to on the package is for if you were trying to span a gap with it or something. just file the surfaces first to make sure you will have a good flat surface, the rtv is just designed to fill the tiny scratches, but could fail if surfaces were not extremely flat.
As overZ mentioned, unless the surfaces are machined flat, they will likely leak. APS machines all their surfaces flat, and no gaskets are needed. I wish the same could be said for Greddy. Those gaskets are really hard to find...trust me...I've looked.
You can probably find the correct MLS gasket material online, and cut your own.

Even if you replace them from greddy, it'd do you good to bring the turbine side of the turbo as well as the exhaust mani and bring them to a machine shop to have them milled flat, otherwise you are just going to blow out another gasket.
The shop that does all of my mechanic work has a ton of these gaskets in stock, because they specialize in building mitsubishi cars. So, they always have plenty in stock, had to replace mine during my motor build. If you need them PM me and Ill hook you up with a number to reach them.
