what should i do with this block??
hay guys i need your suggestion on this
that what the engine contain CP pistons stock size, crower rods, ARP main stud and head stud.
i bout an long-block from NY and i found out today that the sleeve are damaged have scratch but the piston in good condition and i need to get new rings for them.
what should i do???
should i rebuilt this engine ( getting new sleeve or over bore sleeve and change the piston size from stock to .020)
or should i get piston's , rods and ARP main-head stud out of that engine to my stock engine.
which one do you guy's thinks it's worth it???

if the sleeves are scratched, I can't see how the pistons are in perfect condition and just need new rings. take the parts out an inspect the crap out of them, or take 'em to a pro shop to have them do the work.
How old are you? Every post/thread by you is a joke. You don't know how to TYPE PROPER ENGLISH in complete sentences, nor do you know how to actually spell. I laugh everytime I see you post up a new thread or a post in general.

Don't be to hard on him. The english language is fast becoming a "foreign" language. Most people do not write correctly never mind speak correctly. Just another sign-o-the-times.
Ouch, that was painful to read. I think these are the Cliff Notes: Stock bore aftermarket pistons with scratches in the sleeves. Should he replace the sleeve or overbore. It sounds like something is seriously wrong because these motors don't scratch sleeves unless you busted a ringland. Reguardless just get overbore pistons(I would suggest the Extreme Duty pistons from Sharif at Forged Internals) and reassemble the shortblock.
PS-Have fun ordering the bearings. It is a pain in the butt and it's obvious you aren't the best at communicating in English(or should I say Engrish).

We can help if you need assistance however it will cost some significant $$$ for new parts and the rebuild..
Goodluck.

today i will take the engine to machine shop. they will check the engine for me to see who big the damage is.
about the piston's, why did i say they are in good condition because all side's of the piston's are smooth.
i have some picture's of the engine but i couldn't post them?? could any one help me with this, when i try to post them it say's the picture's are over-size??

if you can take out the scratches with an overbore of .020, you can salvage the block..or you can even have it sleeved...if you need to sell that block, let me know, i may buy it from you...
if you have a motor in your current ride, even if you were to build it, you would need to clean up the cylinders with a .020 overbore, thus requiring .020 oversized pistons..so unfortunately your pistons that are stock size may now become paperweights...

Let me know with a PM.

If I were you I would talk to either Michael from VRT he knows his sh*t....or speak with Sharif at Forged Internals. These two guys are going to tell it to you like it is and help you with the process so that you know and understand what is going on and why.
My .02 is to rebuild the whole block for a lot more power than you will ever use. That way you know it is good for what you are going to run.

I've been biting my tongue, but I will be officially announcing the start of our company, builtZmotors
I'll give all the details ASAP, website will be up soon, and I will be a vendor on this site...Sharif is definately the man, I am working closely with him on this developing project...much more to come soon (teaser)

the cylinders are harder than the piston material. typically you can get away with a damaged piston and still have a good cylinder. the fact that you said the piston is still good but the cylinder scratched is weird. how are the main bearings? no metal should come in contact with the cylinder, unless shot out the oil squirter or shot out from the main bearing saddles.
no hole in the block right? not easy to scratch a cylinder and not harm a piston.
