Yes, I am using the 2.87 pulley.

The filter relocation is working out great. The SS pipe stays pretty cool even when driving the car hard. Definitely a lot better than having my filter rest against the radiator. Thanks for the help.

Also are you using a 2.87" pully?

Did you re-flash your rev. limit?
I'm going in for dyno re-tune with new Utec in a day or so, I am trying to deside if I should drop down to the 2.87" from the 3.12". My rev lim. is re-flashed to 7100.
Whats you thoughts?

I still have the stock rev-limiter right now. The engine rebuild cost more than I thought so I just wanted a "safe" tune for now. I did upgrade my valve springs (JWT) so that I could raise it to 7100 in the future.

I would definitely recommend the 2.87 pulley. I have had no issues with it for over 10,000 miles.

Too bad myself, you and Bill weren't running the same pulley. Since I have the SQ SC-Trim, you, the S-Trim, and Bill, the T-Trim, it would have been cool to measure boost levels and rpm's to finally find out if one makes boost sooner than the other, etc.

With stock compression we had to pull a lot of timing (especially on top). After dropping to 9:1, we were able to add most of the timing back in. That's when we saw the biggest jump in HP.

Nice, I hope my 440cc injects. will not max out. I found A 2.87" local pick up new, from a Muatang shop $129.00 Vortech has one for $69.00
I sure don't see any reason not to go to the smaller?

Im running the 3.12 , but I have a 34 tooth cog pulley .Which is basicly running the 2.87 . With the old IC and pipes I was .

3500rpm = 4psi
4000 = 5psi
4500 = 6psi
5000 = 8psi
5500 =9.5psi
6000 =11.5
6500 ==13psi

and thats when the belt started to slip , no matter how tight I got the belt . So the IC is maxed out after 13psi . The T-trim flows more air at the same psi level as the other trims . If they get the blower fixed right this time . I'll have new psi numbers soon

How much timing was being pulled at 12psi for your set up ?

I was pulling 7 degree [ 5.5 plus the 1.5 from the SS box ] at 12psi with the 9 to 1 pistons

Also...the ECU was advancing the timing 2 degree's to 24 degree's advance after 6000rpms . so we end up with 17 degree's of advance

I don't remember how much timing is being pulled right now. I will try to find out.

Bill, did you switch to the UTEC yet? I think I may have to replace my SS box soon. It does funky things from time to time.

Also, I just went on a drive to try and get an idea of how much boost I am making at different rpm levels. (Hard to do when you have to look at the boost guage and pay attention to the road)

3000rpms = 3-4psi (hard to tell)
4000rpms = 5psi
5000rpms = 8psi
6500rpms=12psi

I need to try again when I have a passenger that can concentrate on the boost guage.

Bill, I just saw your post. It looks like the same #'s. Also, how can the T-trim flow more air at the same psi? I'm confused...

But you did give me an idea. Before swapping the 2.87 for the 2.62, I think I will try swapping out the cog pulley to get more boost with the 2.87 pulley.
