Must have made some progress . last year when I talked to TS . They had just figured out 550 and 750 injectors and said he could flash a tune for 8psi for the SC

thanks, I have a couple people curious how the vortech + the 3.9 gears will work out. I'm going to end up with 315's in the rear and already have an LSD so hopefully 1st gear launches actually hook pretty well without having to use drag radials. I'm mostly concerned with how the car drives once you're already going though

If the 3.9 turns out to really not be a good matchup for the vortech then I suppose I'll have to eat my theory about it working and get someone to pay me some $ and swap me their stock 3.5 pumkin for mine and go with the ATS carbon LSD

I agree with Gman. I would have your basic fuel and timing maps flashed back to stock but keep the L-Spec functions. Then tune the engine with the EU.

There have been no reported cases of the EU taking crap suddently at WOT, so I wouldnt worry that.

my shop told me they think I should go for getting my ECU as close to what my tuning is as possible because of how piggybacks aren't as accurate as the actual ECU because of the delay of the signal or whatever. Especially since it'll cost me $150 either way to go to stock or a vortech map

So I think I'm leaning towards that, but my question now is say I get my ECU flashed for the vortech and 440 injectors - when I drive to the shop (about an hour away) will my car be ok or will it run really lean? Of course I'll go easy on it and stay below 3000 rpms etc and it's still NA for the trip there

Just make sure you ask for the Vortech map with the 3.12 pulley if that's what you are going to use and tell them all your mods. The tune should be close, but since it's mail order there is no gaurantee. Make sure you keep an eye on your wideband. When you are in boost at WOT past 3,500 rpms your a/f should be below 11.5. If you see it is higher then just stay out of boost and you won't have any problems. When I say stay out of boost if you see 1-3psi because you are accelerating don't freak out. Just try to stay off boost as much as possible and don't redline it. I drive my car everyday and my current tune is off. I just stay out of boost, although when I am merging on to a freeway I often see a few psi, but I am not going WOT.

i'm just talking about before i get the kit installed

but actually thinking about it, my emanage ultimate right now is setup with my A/F doing the +/- thing (going to have them for sure they use the target A/F map this time - why i bought the damn thing) so anyway, it's currently set to increase fuel so maybe even with the flash for 440 injectors the emanage will add more fuel and so i'm thinking shouldn't be much of a problem.

afterword the emanage ultimage will basically fine tune my ECU flash instead of being fully responsible for my tune

I wouldn't drive the car on the Vortech maps without the Vortech installed. Just have your shop send the ECU as soon as you drop off the car. You will have it back before the install is done.

If you have the ECU flashed for 440 injectors and the Vortech SC , before they are installed . The car may not even start , becuase you'll have the flash for the 440's and still have the stock injectors in
